As awesome as that would be, I don't see them ever making a Zelda movie. First and foremost, it would have to be more than one movie, as a Zelda plot can't be summed up into 2 hours. Secondly, Link would be next to impossible to cast to fanboy liking. That, and Link never talks (and lets keep it that way... we don't need Leo DiCaprio hamming Link up).

They have actually thought of this before, along with a Metroid movie, yet the plug was ultimately pulled. The Halo movie though... That's still in the works.

Hmmm, maybe it could be okay. If they got Disney to do it I suppose it would be good as long as people expect it to be somewhat light-hearted (even with Ganon in it) and not "hardcore". Make it a CGI film and give it a PG rating and it should be a good watch.

Zelda doesnt actually have plot beyong SAVE TEH TRIFORCE, SAVE THE PRINCESS DEFEAT TEH EVIL AND DEFEAT GANON, so I don't even tink it would make that good a movie

To be honest i disagree with this, although it is a good idea.
I say they should make it (if they do) hardcore filled to the brim with action, obviously including the actual storyline and probably a twelve like the games.
They should try to capture the zelda feel that there was in the games.

2. I don't think it's coming. And it better not be, too, because whatever they do can't match the one I've got in my head:

-Live-action, mix of practical and CGI effects.
-Cast of mostly unknowns.
-Story not specifically based on any one game, but bits and pieces culled from a bunch of them.
-Keep things whimsical for the most part. Probably PG or mild PG-13.
-Link talks, but as little as possible.
-Zelda actually, like, does shit instead of waiting to be rescued.
-Navi and Tingle do not appear in this film.

But again, I don't think it's happening. What director could possibly tackle this thing? Guillermo del Toro, maybe...

Agreed, it wouldn't be the first time Nintendo tried to capture success on the Big Screen I mean remember the Mario Bros. movie (Jesus I feel bad even bringing that up, sorry Mario lets forget it ever happened) and also the DBZ live action movie I mean the commercial for that one was so retarded most fans didn't even bother showing up to actually see it. Some things are better left untouched, it is extremily hard to replicate success and find actors who can portray animated characters without disappointing the crazed fans.

Because honestly that doesn't work for a movie. You can't have Mario jumping on platforms for the entire movie. It simply doesn't work.

However, something like the Mario Brothers flash series would have been awesome.
