Now that is a scar. What kind of surgery is that from? I'm going to guess it's from shattering the bones in the arm from a really bad fall.

Scars? Yes.
Cool? No.

I have one on the side of my wrist from a fight where someone pulled a knife and a small one on my eye from being hit with a chair in a fight and that's it. They're hardly noticeable and not that cool.

Scar between my thumb and pointer finger from a sword (caught it as it was falling, not a smart idea)
Scar on my thumb from an apple core remover (in a drawer full of knives, that's what I cut myself on)
Scar on my pointer finger from a metal fan blade.
Scar on the inside of my arm from a knife.
Minor burns around my body.

For how much I play with knives and swords, I've only cut myself twice, and neither of them were serious.

What's so great about scars, kid?

One that goes to down the inside of my arm. Another that is just below my ribs, and a few on my hands. That's all folks!

I hate to rip on you, (considering this isn't really ripping, more of telling you what I think), but I am truly confused as to why in the world you would WANT to show complete strangers on a website the scars that you inflicted yourself.

Here's a little note for you, when a person really has severe enough mental issues that they cut themselves, they try to hide it, and most certainly don't go around parading it to a bunch of strangers on the web. They may join a support group online and show a picture or two there, or show their family (when they're ready), or their psychiatrist/therapist, but they do not show random people whom they've never met before.

The people who call themselves "emo" now-a-days disgust me, as many of them do exactly what you've done, though most of them just scratch themselves they don't actually cut, and wear it like a badge, like it makes them cool. A mental illness is not a fashion accessory, don't treat it as such.

And for the record, the OP said "cool scars", those are in no way, shape, or form, on any planet, in any universe, or parallel dimension, "cool". It's sad that you do it to begin with, but it's pathetic that you actually think it's, "cool".

I got a bunch of scars on my knees thanks to riding on my bike. You would think I would have learned to get some knee pads or something, but looks kind of stupid on someone who is just going on a regular bike ride. Besides, I haven't had an accident in years. I have a scar on my forehead for when my brother accidentally hit me in the head with a glass paperweigh when I was little. Luckily, as I grew, my hair hid it.

Scars are cool now? The fuck am I missing, people?
