PLEASE help. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJ2JaD6lL wQ
I've searched up COUNTLESS video's and not a single one seems to have worked.
Everyone just tells me to "EDIT TEMPO" and then find the BPM to the acapella, but i don't understand how knowing the BPM of the vocal track is supposed to help me sync the damn thing to my instrumental.
I've been having this problem for the last month.
Seriously, is there a solution?

The solution is to figure out the bpm (beats-per-minute) of both of them, and the speed up or slow down one of them so they match.

have you tried cutting up the acapella sample and placing it where it needs to be ,,, i remade "i am the walrus by the beatles. the song speeds up by 3 rpm by the time it is finished. i had to cut up john lennons vocal track and literally place it on beat.
btw if this acapella track is from a copyrighted song ..... dont upload it here.

Cymbal is exactly right. If the track is giving you trouble it's probably best to chop up the track and line it up on a phrase-by-phrase (or beat-by-beat, whatever it may be) case. It takes a little work, but sometimes an acapella track is timed in such a way that the computer just can't quite match it, such as, say, 145.36 bpm, or something (this often happens with, say, a live performance, or something non-electronic).
I had to do this with one of my own tracks here, so I know what you're talking about. Slice up the soundfile at the silences between words/phrases and sync them up manually.
Need some music for a flash or game? Check it out. If none of this works send me a PM, I'm taking requests.

1) In FL, open up Edison.
2) Load sample into edison (the button that has a floppy disc on it)
3) Where it says tempo (hard to see), right click to bring up the Sample Properties dialog box. In the dialog box, type in the tempo of the acapella you're using where it says "Tempo". Easy so far, ja?
4) Drag clip from Edison onto your playlist. (2nd button in from the right in the Edison window)
5) Double-click on the sample in the playlist. This will bring up the Channel Settings. In the area labeled "Time Stretching" click Resample and set it to "Pro Default"
Suggesting the tempo you entered in Edison was correct, the acapella you're using should match the tempo of your song, pitch unaffected.

Or even a better idea :) !!!
Get a microphone, put the beat in headphones and then record the voice with your beat. A perfect match made in Heaven.
Heart warming advice.
