Gotta get good at math

So I figured out I suck at skateboarding so me and my homies tried rapping. We found out we suck at that too so we tried MATH.

Now we just chill all day after school doing it, with an AMC 12 prep book and the 2009 edition of The Art of Problem Solving. It's like crack. Every problem we end up figuring out feels so good. We compete too, and make sweet write-ups of our solutions

Last week we took the AMC and ACED THAT MOTHERFUCKER

i never claimed to be an overly smart person. i got B average report cards but math was always my strong point. im very good with arithmetic and can add, subtract, multiply and divide any combination 3 digit numbers. i dont know what it is but maths just really makes sense to me. too bad im in an industry that maths isnt a very common requirement.

Nope you just havent studied it long and efficiently enough in your lifetime. Take all your time video gaming and on the Internets, throw that stupid shit out the window and do some maths with prep textbooks. Within three weeks you'll at least manage to ace the SAT, and, from that level on, it gets easier to learn bro.

I'm decent at mental math, but I'm no good with the complicated formulas. I work with a visual mind mostly.

Maths is like a second language to me. It really is not that hard and this year I've been Aceing it. What is really strange is that I failed math for six years of my life.. and now I finally get it. Then again, my father's side of the family is really good at maths and such so I guess my maths skills was dormant lol.

Weirdly enough I can kinda relate to you, I used to be pretty good at maths when I was in high school, and I know once you 'get' a problem in maths it sticks with you and you feel good when you get to use that method to solve a question.
I'm not gona lie, you could have picked a trendier topic to focus on, but you'll have more to show for being interested in maths than you would have in say, rap music or whatever. Glad that you're enjoying it :)
