4.09 / 5.00 12,195 ViewsI'm trying to learn the new tweening system for cs4/cs5. I created a character and I did a bunch of animations for him with classic tweens, but I decided to try out the new motion tweening, and I'm finding it very hard to loop animations with the new system. Before, with the classic tweens, you would usually just copy and paste the first frame of the animation to the last frame to make a loop. But with the new tweening I can't seem to copy and paste the first frame. I find it very tedious trying to put my objects back to the way they were in the first frame. Is there any way I can make the last frame like the first without having to manually move it to the way it was? I hope i'm making sense here, I would really like to learn how to use this properly. If anyone could help me out i'd appreciate it.

Use graphic and movie clip symbols with your looped animation inside them. They can keep looping as much as you want and work with both classic and new tween types (or shape tween, or fbf, or anything really).

Thanks for the reply, but what do you mean by using a graphic/movie clip with my looped animation inside? I'm trying to create completely new animations with graphic/movie clips.

this is what i'm working with. Those animations were done with classic tweens. I want to re do these animations with the new motion tweening system. The problem i'm with the new motion tweening is trying to make the last frame of the animation exactly like the first one to create a smooth looking walk/run/breathing etc cycle. Do you know what i'm saying?

Oh I think I see what you mean. You're not asking how to create a looping animation, but how to make the final frame of the loop match the first frame of it.
You should still be able to copy and paste the tweened symbol even within the new tween. But if you can't the best thing to do would be to set the new tween, then first make the final frame of the loop. This should make it match up.
I just tired copying and pasting the symbol within the tween and that does not work. I tried to make the last frame of the tween first, but whenever i moved anything between the first and last frame, it would just stop the animation at the change i made. It would not revert back to the way I had set up the last frame. this is so frustrating!
