Seriously. Its common fucking courtesy to take your hat off when in someones home, or a building. If you want to be gentlemanly, take your hat off on a date or when speaking to a girl.

Man, you have no right to judge anyone. People are raised differently. Are you saying that you think badly of people who don't remove their hats? That's a stupid reason to look down on someone, if you ask me.

Where is this slippery slope going to, exactly? The TSA body searches exist for the purpose of finding weapons, explosives, etc. Your school's rationale for making you take off your hat is not that they're searching for terror suspects. Your rights are not being infringed on. This has nothing to do with the government and therefore nothing to do with your rights. It's a social norm. Whether or not that norm should exist is irrelevant to the fact that it's not anything more than that, so it's just silly to assume that the next step will government mandated body searches or anything of the like.

Not wearing hats doesn't balloon into anything, though. Just because a situation has the capability of getting worse doesn't mean it will or even that the probability is all that high.
I suppose I do think that hats should be allowed, but honestly, this issue is so inconsequential that I don't even have a thorough opinion on it.
It's a sign of respect. You know the phrase "My hat's off to you"? It stems from that. It's a way of showing your respect to other people. But that's a totally different problem.

OK, you get to wear hats indoors, next you want to piss at the toilet without putting the seat back down. What next, you want to run around nude? Dude, no.

It;s just a hat. You'll live if it's not on your head 24/7.
I don't really mind it, but I can't see how a hat can be distracting. It is a fucking hat, nobody is gonna shit their pants and not be able to concentrate because some kid is wearing a hat.

Why the fuck would they wear their hats so far down like that though?

I manage a good amount of people. If one of them walks in with a non-religious headdress, Yes, I am slightly offended that they act so casual. Again, 'tis a courtesy thing. I'm not looking down on you, I'm trying to make you understand the rule, please don't missinterpute.
They're trying to teach you to be professional in the future. If you ever work in an office, or even most Fast Food places, they won't allow you to wear any sort of hat or headdress that isn't Religious, or, in the case of Fast Food places, don't bear the Company Name or Logo.

So if I was a foreigner who was raised in a household were wearing a hat was normal all the time and I come here, I should cut it out because me wearing hats indoors gives you a reason to look down on me. Real fucking smart there and why is headwear okay when religion is involved. Don't give me just because, should I make a religion based off of hats maybe then I can wear them indoors.
If you wear a hat too long it speeds up the balding process. There you go, good enough reason for you? It's a hat you douchebag, just take it off.

That seems like a personal choice not a reason to outlaw it, also I'm a douchebag for asking questions.Nice.

Even if I didn't and I do know them what does that prove? Still my rights whether or not I know them. I love how you guys call my intellect into question but avoid the real question. Keep it going son :P.
Try upholding this pro-hat philosophy of yours next time you go to apply for a job, and see how far it gets you.
Well I also think it's a stupid rule, but I don't think wearing hats in certain buildings is all that important either. I mean it's really not a big deal, I think it's pointless for schools to enforce this rule but it's also pointless to bitch about the schools enforcing this rule.

Well If I feel like wearing the hat at a interview I will, If I don't feel like it I won't that fucking simple. If he asked me to remove which he probably wouldn't I would just say no it doesn't affect the interview in anyway shape or form. Wearing a hat doesn't make you a criminal, it's nothing to bitch and say take it off son. So yeah if he was being a cunt i'd go elsewhere.

The person interviewing you wouldn't tell you to take it off. They would simply say, "Thank you for your interest and we'll get back to you." I'd be surprised if you even got an interviewer that would give you the interview.
Really what does it matter? Do you really have to have a reason? Why don't you just walk around naked? Why don't you walk around with two left shoes on? Why don't you go into a building wearing socks on your hands? Why don't you go into a professional setting wearing a hat?
Just think about things next time. Do you stare at people? Do you shake hands with your left hand? Do you yell out during a presentation? Why don't you do any of these things? Because your not an idiot.
You just don't. Go ahead if you want. You want a good reason? You're not going to get one. There's nothing good enough for a child of 15 years old like yourself. You're always right because that's just the age your at.
There are some reasons that I can personally give though from a teacher's point of view. (Meaning myself as a teacher)
Students who wear their caps can easily hide their face. They could be sleeping or just being off task in general. Yes, we can simply come up to you and find out for ourselves, but it's an extra distraction that we don't need. We get enough of them already.
Hats can be easily gang related. This is definitely something that needs to be kept out of school for sure. Anything that can mark what group your in can be dangerous to the entire classroom.
Sure it can actually hide weapons and things of that sort, but that's not highly common. It only takes that one time though I guess. I've seen weirder things.
It can be a distraction for a lot of students. (Especially at younger ages) They take the hats off, play with them, turn them around, adjust them, and when all of that is over they're raising their hand to have someone repeat the directions for them because they forgot or didn't hear.

Holy shit, you're retarded.
If you're already in a building, it should be heated and thus you should not need a hat. I think the reason it's considered impolite is because your head is the one part of your body that you can let me seen. There are so many other body parts that you are not allowed to show, but your head is the one that is alright. I mean, you should be glad there is at least one body part that you are allowed to show no matter what the scenario.
You know the world's gone crazy when the best rapper's a white guy and the best golfer's a black guy - Chris Rock
In many public schools, certain hats are linked to gang affiliation. Although it only should apply to certain colored or decorated hats, they have to ban all hats in order to keep it fair.
It's a stupid rule, but it's not going to kill you. It's a HAT, not life support...

That actually reminds me of an article I read in the Newspaper, where they said that wearing a Hat to an interview reduces your chances of getting a job by like, 85%.
