I don't really like Graphic novels usually,mainly since its too much detail. I recommend is Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life. I have it and its so cool and funny.

and in some cases you get trades, which is basically collecting a bunch of comics from a particular storyline and putting them into a format similar to a graphic novel. much more efficient than buying multiple small volumes but you don't get that same vintage reading experience.
