I know that being a pedaphile is very illegal. meaning being 18 or older having sex with someone younger then 18. But what if the people are both under 18, and not married. (of course im pretty sure its the law to have to be at least 18 to get married) I know that neither would be married, and would neither one of them be predaphiles since they are younger then 18, or both of them maybe? I know these exact scenerio happens all the time, but is it actualy illegal, or is it just greatly, greatly looked down upon? What are your veiws on this?

Well here in Canada there is something called "straitoriy rape" meaning if a 16 year old had sex with a 13 year old that would be considered rape, but I think if ur under 14 ur not aloud to have sex, though i bet that rule has been broken a few times.

it varrys for each state because they set up there age limits for sexual consent and the drinking age (to be specific the dringking age is federaly regulated through funds for states that go by what the gov decides they want it to be.)

In this country age of consent = 16. We're still very sexist in our ways though. If it's two underage people having sex then the male is the one prosecuted (even if it's something like 11 yr old male and 15 yr old female). Basically the female is never prosecuted until she is older than 15.

This is a What If? question. Everyone knows you can't have sex until your married and eighteen. It's physically impossible.

It's 16 in the UK. I dont have anything against ANY sex, as long as both parties consent to it. This includes underage and premarital sex.

Yes of course it does but ur example is a very odd one to say the least, and besides that man would be called a pedafile and should be shot to death, most countries have a law determining if ur to young or to old to sleep with someone like 2 or 3 years difference is probably the max, anything else might be considered rape

that's what i'm saying , there should be a limit on how old someone can be to be able to consent
and it's not as uncommon as you may think, a lot of children from central america are used as slave labor or worse, sex slaves for some twisted individuals in the states.

BEING a pedophile is not illegal. One can find young girls attractive, and that is not illegal. Harming a child IS what's illegal. Just wanted to clear that up.

Underage sex is not viewed upon very unfavorably, except in religious circles. That being said, two 9 year olds doing it is kind of young.

They're teaching sex Ed to sixth grade children now, so I'm feeling the vibe that society is becoming more conscious of that reality. Humans are hitting puberty earlier on than in the past, its only normal that people feel compelled to act on their impulses. Parents seem to be handing sexual education to school systems, who I might add, are unable to properly cope with it all. The best we can do is preach abstinance and safe sex. Whether we see it as right or wrong, we can't stop minors from having sex.

ok i guess it needs to be posted again each individual state in the US sets up there own age Hawii i have been told by some one who lived there is 14 VA is 16 and anything under that the age difference needs to be 3 years or less and the same if one person is over and the other is under the age limit. but your state may have some different standards. In the US were really obseesed with age though age to vote, age to drink, age you can learn to drive, the age you can drive with no pairents in the car and the age you can fuck, is this just me or is this amusing that we have so many differnt things that you need to be a different age for.

yes and no. Between to people that are 12 and 16, yes. From 12 to 16 is a legal range. If you have sex with a prostitute, he/she has to be at least 18.

It's also true that the Netherlands has the lowest number of Teenage Pregnancies in the developed countries, I believe. The USA's is something like 13 times more. [Source]

If two children have consensual sex, depending on local/federal laws, and what the parents' reaction is, one/both may be charged with statutory rape.

Now if they were put up to it by the old guy with the camera, that's different, of course.

In most cases where it's just two children acting on their own, either one gets charged (because the other's parents are assholes), or the whole thing is too embarrassing for the parents to act on publicly.

If both kids are willing, it's their own stupidity to blame. It shouldn't be rape if both parties agree
