I've heard this suggestion time and time again but I do not like the idea at all. I feel it'll only confuse me if I see high level users choosing low level icons. I prefer to keep things as they are and stick to the level icon you're meant to have for your level.

That would be much better but I thought the admins didn't want to make projectile weapons. Ages ago they said they'd rather have in-your-face weapons than projectiles.

The thing is Auz, how many more melee weapons can they do? Or varied levels of boring fists. Using guns would make more sense. Handguns, automatics, rifles, shotguns. The gold theme towards the higher levels would work with that too. James Bold Golden Gun anyone? Fuck melee.

As much as I want to remain neutral on this one, I would have to agree with you on one thing. There are so many boring fists it isn't even funny. Most of them are gone, but for the both of us we still have to go through level 47 and to be honest the golden fist isn't one of the levels I am looking foward to. I would be so much happier if it was replaced with something like a golden rocker launcher or an golden flame shot. (The name of the flamethrower in Metal slug)

I highly doubt we will get anymore new levels, and to be honest even if we did with you B/P most likely I am willing to bet you would be at the top again since you have so much B/P already.

Hmm yes, but they made a bow anyway, didn't they? And shurikens are projectile-ish as well right?

I thought they mainly meant that they didn't want to go to guns, but rather keep it melee and medieval like.

Well, over the ages a shitload of melee weapons have been developed all across the world. There are still plenty more you could think of and could find if you search hard enough.

The main categories I'm missing in the current levels is spears, sticks and staffs. I know not many people liked the old level 23 and level 29 weapons, but with different designs they could be totally awesome. Clubs might be another idea and there are still lots of different types of swords that aren't even close to the current set of swords (ex: rapiers).

But beside weapons, you could of course also look at tools and other household equipment. For example, a frying pan or rolling pin could make some pretty cool low level weapons.

It's gonna be hard to think of 40 more to make it a nice 100 levels, but about 10 or 20 extra shouldn't be too difficult.

True.. We have a pludger after all. But this is turning very housewifey. I can see a lot of gimmick users having a rolling pie/iron/frying pan level and just pretending to be some old grumpy wife.

Maybe so but we've GOT to have a frying pan icon! That is an awesome melee icon and even better when it's used in L4D2 and even TF2. It'll be a great addition to NG's level ranks.

Reaching enough B/P for this Super Commander ... is a lot of dreary work. I actually think guys that reached the final B/P Rank

In fact, I'm for making a daily B/P limit just as there is one at the level up thingy but removing the 10 XP points per day limit because I always had the opinion blamming/protecting is something important and should had better quality. But now it seems all people with high B/P ranks just make shit with the rating ... => just because there is no limit! A high B/P rank should mean something ...

If wed need even more points for the last rank ... this wouldn't affect the blamming protecting quality on newgrounds in a positive way.

To the projectile weapons on Level Icons ... play modern warfare 2 and leave newgrounds! I love the current level Icons, for new levels they could add clubs, slingers, and maybe dinosaurs if something else than weapons. But not ... guns!

I want to add, horribly many Super Commanders actually just looked at the FILE SIZE to decide now wether they blam or protect.

With a daily limit, they would at least try to set their rating correctly ... and they wouldn't start score-spamming.

And to the Removal of the daily XP point thingy ... there should be more ways to get XP points, to prevent on score spamming again.

That reminds me. I noticed B/P and level Icon mentioned, but no one bothered to mention new whistle levels. I hope they add some more new whistle levels in the redesign as well as update the review guildlines. I would love to see a emerald, Diamond, or even a Ruby whistle added.

I don't really know what levels I would assign them too, but some guns and explosives could be nice. Also, this shit needs more Native American weapons. They were as badass as they come.

I don't think you understand that bping is actually important for Newgrounds. People need to bp in order to blam/save flash. If no one bped and just viewed stuff in the portal randomly, why it'd be chaos there and take forever for peoples flash to get approved or not.

While some bpers do vote badly on certain flash, that is something NG themselves should address by making it so you need at least 1.50 to get your flash saved. I'd say even a 2.0 score myself.
