I like NG at all, but I think it needs something like facebook's "news" icon in your account. That could keep everything under control without looking around. Don't ya think so? Comment.
I think Newgrounds profiles are better organized and easier to navigate than the ones on Facebook. Plus NG doesn't have friends, so it would be pretty useless.

Honestly, I'd want to know when my favourite flash or audio artists post something new. Some sort of notification system will work really well, I don't use rss anyway.

It's still definitely a social network, like it or not.
But as others pointed out, NG doesn't really have a way to feed you news that would be relevant to you, unless they did implement some sort of "Friend" ability. I dunno how useful that would be however... but it might be interesting to see stuff like:

What exactly do you think is disorganized? We don't have friends or albums so theres no reason to make it like facebook. As you are new you may not have noticed that you can move or remove modules on your page, maybe that will help.
If you mean a news feed of whats going on on the site. There's Tom's posts on the frontpage, you have portals for the various content and you have forums.
Newgrounds=/= Facebook
Tom has news posts which inform users of collaborations and other events worth noting, the front page shows flashes, games, art, and music, that is considered good by Tom's standards while the top five/ten if you look at the runner ups shows good content by user's standards. Through navigating each portal for a few seconds you can see what is currently popular. The BBS also can inform you of other miscellaneous things mainly how certain users are and current news. The whole website is very easy to use and unlike facebook's news section it's not full of irrelevant crap I don't want to hear about anyways, it's full of things I want.
