I cannot wait to let this game have sex with me and my new computer. Got some serious new hardware and software and I might even get a better internet connection (though not needed) to make the enjoyment of playing what is surely to be my all-time favorite game. I played BF2 daily years ago, and i'm beyond stoked for this beast. I also welcome it even more surely as my dislike for CoD has continued to grow ever since Modern Warfare 1 was released.

One thing I hope Battlefield 3 does is have games where people of similar rank ranges play with each other, rather than have truckloads of games where newbies and casual players get preyed upon by veterans and experts. I've noticed that in Bad Company 2, many cases you'll have stacked teams where level 50s just prey upon the team of lower ranked players round after round, and its actually rare you find a truly balanced game.

I hate this feeling that if I don't play the game all day every day from the moment it comes out and play absolutely nothing else, I'm going to end up falling and then get my ass handed to me.

It's funny because PC gamers are probably gonna pay 5x more than the actual game because they have to power up their PC's.

Its funny because you are probably posting from a pc anyways which was a separate cost from a console. So you are probably in the hole as much, if not more than a pc player. Pc all the way. Better gaming experience, more functionality, less 12 year olds. Awwwww yeeeeah. This game was built ground up for the pc, and the experience will be so much more on the pc than on any crap console wich will be out dated in the next couple years anyways.

Instead of having an assault class and a medic class, they have been combined into one class, the combat medic. It has all the weapons of the assault class, but the abilities of the medic.

To replace the medic class, they have introduced the light-machine gunner class. It has the weapons of the medic class, but your goal is to suppress the enemy.

Looks cool. I hope it looks good on the consoles, but I bet the PC version will look 200003402340234020342340002304 times better than the condensed, texture-quality poor versions in PS3 and Xbox 360.

I'm definitely getting Battlefield 3 on the PC.

The game looking slightly better won't make me buy a better PC.

The multiplayer footage of "Operation Metro" IS CONSOLE FOOTAGE.

This was pointed out to me by somebody. The kill feed for the footage from the E3 PC booth is on the right. The console kill feed was on the left. Well, the multiplayer video just released had the kill feed on the left.

So now we know that it will look just as good as the PC version.

According to a number of interviews with DICE, the game is being heavily watered down for consoles. The maps will be slightly smaller, the borders pushed back, and in general just less of everything. They are staying true to those that play the game on PC due to Battlefield 2 fitting quite snugly with the PC community, so we will see more and get more for our buck.

No doubt the game will be amazing no matter what you play it on, but if you got a high performance PC then the best place to play BF3 won't be on the consoles!

Console single-player footage. Doesn't look worse than the PC version.

Yeah, I didn't really understand why they would debut console footage on his show.

10 min leaked multiplayer footage for PC. No sound.

The guy that was playing sucked. He didn't knife people even when he was a foot a way, and just passed by and didn't revive his team mates. Oh well, at least we have a better look at multiplayer.

And the vaulting feature looks beast.

The vaulting looks way too repetitive and the animation is awkward.

I think it was due to the idiot playing taking the path of most resistance every time.

There's a part in the video where you can see another player's animation snap to a different one.

http://kotaku.com/5813389/console-battle field-3-is-half-the-fps-of-modern-warfar e-3

I'm definitely getting the PC version. only 30 frames per second on the console, while PC gets 60 fps.

The console version is watered down too much for me to bear. A Battlefield game with only 32 players max? Also judging from the Jimmy Fallon footage, the muzzle flash looks poor, and the overall look and feel of the console version does not match the superior quality of the PC.

Also I spent $700 on my PC that I made for myself, and it's four years old and it can still run the newest games on super high. So the argument that PC gaming is too expensive is invalid. While you console gamers play in your limited 30 frames per second, less detailed textures, and smaller maps with less players, I'll be playing a much high quality Battlefield 3 experience.

PC GAMING power!
