3.93 / 5.00 4,634 ViewsNews media is often dominated with stories originating, involving or concerning a large country you may have heard of before, America. As somebody who likes to get both sides of the story, and is innately sceptical about the intentions and reliability of certain newstations, I am more than willing to admit that the stereotype that I have of the average American could be wrong.
What I get to see, and effectively base my opinion on, is only the spin that is shown to me from movies, interviews, news and other forms of media which all have their own set agenda, similarly I know from how media works in the UK that often the everyday guy on the street gets ignored, and only those who are controversial and vocal get airtime. I hope that people don't assume that because I'm british I live in a manor and speak like the queen (although I do like a spot of tea), and likewise I hope to god that all Americans are not clones of Bill O'reily.
What I am looking for is a representative, normal, everyday american(s) who has grown up within the culture and has insight into the opinions of everyday people. Hopefully someone here will be up to it, and they can add me on the faecesbook or some other form of social media, to have inane banter.
Basically I think it would be interesting and possibly even enjoyable to have some political or cultural banter with someone across the pond, whether that be on big issues, cultural issue, OFWG, music taste or whatever.
Basically I think it would be interesting, and help me learn more about world affairs through someone detached from all my own influences, and I think that the more information you have than the better placed you are make decisions. So let me have a little bio about yourself, and your thoughts on this.
I like this idea. I love American stuff of many different kinds, but I'm not a fan of the loud media types. I'm talking about people like that gentleman who had a blackboard of 'destroyed states' that indicated radical Islam's next big thrust into Europe. For the record, a couple of students and cuts protesters did not grind the UK to a halt. The snow did that. Also, the French protest like crazy every year. There's hardly a hidden revelation in that.
Now that I've used what's entirely the wrong place to vent that, I'll get ready for chit-chat. I'm open to British stuff. To begin, I personally have moderately bad teeth. This is because I have a dreadful inconsistency with regards to oral hygiene. I'm not a fan of tea, though I am a coffee fiend.
As long as some american cunts dont call me a british cunt then im fine with that.
"let's throw the babies into the air and catch them with our bayonets, whoever catches the most wins!"
I shall PM you and we shall converse about the ordinary lives of a USA citizen in contrast to the life of those across the pond.
For I am and forever shall be... a master ruseman.
Hey i live in America.
Could I be your correspondant, pretty please?
I live in America but I am only familiar with the social inner workings of my school and the my house
Life is a performance, and the world is full of critics. Give it your all like it's your last show.

Judging from your countless threads with stereotypical anti-american remarks that include precisely the bias that OP is talking about; I doubt you'd be an ideal correspondent.
No offense
Always open to new experiences, I have a correspondent from a rural town in China that I met through random chat at 3am.
Err, I'd be glad to share my views with you, they'll be a bit different than those of most Americans, as I am from New York City. Always did like BBC, I use them as a source of news about the US as they're a bit less biased.

Ok.
I am 15. I live in North Carolina, which is located in the south. I am in 10th grade, in one of the most diverse school systems in the country.
I am average weight, and rarely do I eat fast food. I only eat it when there is no other option.
So let me have a little bio about yourself, and your thoughts on this.
I hunt, and own several firearms. Two shotguns, a 20 gauge single shot, and a 16 gauge double barrel.
My parents are divorced, I don't really know if that confirms or defies and American stereotypes you have.
I plan on joining the military, and am currently in a program called Young Marines, which is very similar to JROTC.
I don't know if I confirm or defy any stereotypes, but that is a very truthful description of myself.
