doesn't make sense. For people who say "nothing", I'm sorry, but that is just so incredibly vague that it literally hurts my head trying to think about it. Your mind is constantly thinking, where does you subconscious go? Its one thing if you don't remember your birth, but whats it like after? It doesn't make sense to remember your death. It can't be just black, because you will still be experiencing it, which kind of contradicts the "nothing" point of view. Your memory, sub-conscious, thoughts, your mind in general, I find it very hard to believe all of that just stops. It is so hard to imagine what an experience would be like without them.

I would probably accept ghosts or a heaven/hell. Believe it or not, it makes more sense than trying to understand all of this crap.

Maybe it's just like sleeping and endlessly dreaming.

You won't be able to feel death, or realize it. It would just happen. It's one of those things we just can't comprehend.

There must be something after death. That's why I became little Christ. It's much easier for my little mind to accept a belief which sounds more relieving.

I always figure it would be a lot like before you were born. I never really bought into to whole afterlife thing with souls and such. There are the weird exceptions like out of body experinces, and near death experiences that seem like it could exist. but it's a step we are all going to take so accept it

As for the dieing part, if you have a membership on netflix they have a good Nat Geo documentary on what happens to your brain when you die, pretty interesting

This. Which means you won't be able to experience anything after death, not even thoughts.

I like to think our mind goes onto the next part of our existence. That there is no deity, but that death is simply the next part of the life cycle of existence. Though I know this is extremely unlikely, so I am not leaving it to chance. I am not going to let myself die, I am going to live for as long as I damn well please.

If human beings had an "off" switch it would probably be easier to find out.

Ever had surgery where they give you lots of painkillers or so much alcohol that you just completely black out? Probably that.

although im christian/ignostic, not 100 percent on everything in the bible, i always thought that your soul was reassigned, that theres trillions of souls and one by one there cycled back in.

death is nothing

1's body simply returning to a natrual state.

eventually being 1 with nature. (all the atoms brake down to be somthing new) (not speaking of "your soul" but your body itself)

Do you seriously not understand the concept of nothing? It's nothing because you don't experience anything. It's not black, you don't have memories, it's just nothing.
