3.80 / 5.00 4,200 ViewsI woke up this morning, to my Dad telling me he had some serious shit we had to talk about. At first I thought somebody might have died, so I woke up, had a shower and then he tells me that the police have been watching my Facebook account for a number of months now, and think that I am a danger to society and myself.
Mostly because my statuses all contain violent messages, although they are all lyrics it is still a crime as it is threatening the public.
One that they pointed out that bothered them the most was "I might just kill and take an AK and spray it in a Safeway express lane", which is nothing more than a line from a song.
As well as one other the cop showed me, "I'm so full of hate that killing is my only choice."
The cop said that the minimum sentence I will get in prison is two years.
He came to my house at around 11:00 AM and searched my room, entire basement actually, he said he was looking for guns or any other weapons, and obviously he found none.
I had to write a four page statement explaining my statuses, as well as a few comments people made on my statuses about killing jews, and emos.
By the time he was leaving, he said that his sergeant wanted me to be arrested today, but he is giving me the benefit of his doubt, and won't arrest or charge me today.
I'll find out tomorrow.
I have to go for counseling again, which is fine... It will make me look better and decrease my chances of going to jail, and besides that I could probably use it.
He said that they wanted to make an example of me as well, so I think that if I do get arrested, it will be because they want me to be an example, AKA a scapegoat. SO other people don't do what I did... If that happens I'm not hesitating to go to the media and tell them that the police force here is messed up, if they're going to do that they're not doing their jobs properly.
But yeah, just throwing it out there... Don't say dumb shit on Facebook because according to him, they have people that work for them and go on Facebook to find people that post up stupid statuses like I did, and now I'm trying to get my shit together, and stop posting lyrics on my status that have to do with violence or killing.
Words can't explain my frustration right now... But this is life.
Yeah, whatever.

Youre not going to jail for posting violent lyrics on facebook, tell them to go squat on a cucumber
I sure hope you can hide a lot of cigarettes in your asshole...
Why were you posting things like that anyway.
( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

He never really said. My guess is that somebody reported me because of my statuses, but who knows.
All he said was that they have people who work for them and cruise Facebook looking for dangerous people, and I was a person of interest so they've been watching my shit for about five months.

They said that it actually is illegal, I argued it because it's nothing more than lyrics off of a song, and the reason he thought it wasn't was because he couldn't find the lyrics online... No shit, it's underground rap... You aren't going to find the lyrics on the internet.
But there's still the possibility, he said that out of how dangerous they think a person can be from their Facebook, they said I'm a 10/10.... Which is ridiculous since there are people who have pics of them carrying guns and shit on there, and I only have a pattern of violent lyrics.
Yeah, whatever.

Because the police do these things. Not kidding
At least you weren't one of the idiots that post pictures of themselves smoking weed on Facebook.
That would never happen in England
Since when could you be arrested for a crime you have yet and most likely won't commit? Haven't governments learned from rap, metal, etc. that violent lyrics doesn't exactly mean the musician will do the things the sing about?
That's what you get for listening to shitty music.
So I guess about 60-70% of people on my friends list should be expecting a visit from the police then. Lol
Serves you right for liking rap music.
LOL

Ignorant idiots seem to always assume that if they hear of something stupid, it was in America.

Lets say you carry false guns in the middle of public and say "I am gonna kill everyone of you fuckers." Then when you get arrested you say "I was joking" still that causes chaos.

Yeah because my musical taste has everything to do with it. I posted lyrics, they got offended.
It doesn't matter what genre is, find any genre and they will probably have lyrics that have to do with murder or something people find offensive. It's all a matter of who does or doesn't get butthurt by single messages.
Besides that, music is all opinionated, I listen to a lot of different genres, not all of it is violent shit.
Yeah, whatever.

Shit like this is why I don't use it.
I know a number of people that have been turned down from job interviews after their potential bosses looked them up on Facebook and saw a load of stuff that had little real relevance to them as a person, but just didn't look good.
I still don't completely understand how posting it online is illegal.
Life is a performance, and the world is full of critics. Give it your all like it's your last show.
You don't even want to know
You might want to find a lawyer, or at least call one and explain your situation. A lot of times, legal advice is free. And if the lawyer thinks something the police did was illegal or unethical, you can sue the government. Just get advice from professionals to see if what the police are doing is actually legal, because this doesn't a all. You haven't threatened someone specifically, and you have not actually committed a crime. If you and those other people have commented about killing jews and other stuff, you might have a problem, though.
Next time, keep your profile off public view.

Man this is just embarrassing 'music'.
Well...2 years of all the anal sex you want. Sounds like you're in for a treat.
Imagine if they were eyeing THIS site!?!
Ohohohohoh.
No but seriously, this shit pisses me off.
Why are the police allowed to examine our FACEBOOKS!?! Don't we have privacy settings for a reason??
Just when you think it's safe to eat at a friends house...
Fun Fact: Rummy0 made this sig below to insult me!
And I took it as my own. :3
I've noticed that a bit, though, EpicFail, especially with your music that you make. I'd lighten up on the violence part, because it only alerts people to think you're an angry person when you might not be.

A guy at my college had the police come to his house because he posted on his friends wall that he was going to shoot him with a gun jokingly.
I can rap better than you.
Just saying.
Well, may this be a lesson: never operate or communicate on social networking sites such as Facebook. Or, if you do, keep it minimal. There are plenty of less known sites to...y'know, post what you like. I'll not pass judgement on your music of choice, but Facebook is hugely popular nowadays. It used to be Myspace, a few years back, and if you care to remember there was alot of police pinging potential criminals and sex offenders rampantly to rope them in.
However, this does not seem very legal, even if they are convinced of...whatever violent crime they think you're capible of. This seems like a violation of rights. Y'know, the right of freedom of speech? I dunno, i suggest some legal aid here. I'm not really savvy on legaleze.
