What decides the genetic makeup of a baby?
The sperm cell? The egg cell? Both?

Heard of it?

NOPE.
And tbh, I knew the baby gets chromosomes from both, but I was talking about the finer details. Like, if the same sperm cell that fertilized me went into a different EGG, would I be the same? If not, what would change? etc.

23 chromosomes from the father's sperm cells and 23 chromosomes from the mother's egg.

Bananular.

Which are more important in my overall design? I know that the sperm cell decides my gender, so does it decide everything else? Again, if I got fertilized inside of another egg, would I be the same?

23 chromosomes is carried by the sperm cell, the other 23 are stored in the egg cell. Fun fact, before 1950 people thought we had 48 chromosomes.

If you read my above link, or spent even like... 120 overall seconds reading about genetics, you'd learn about dominant and recessive genes. And how the sequence determines your overall genetic makeup.

Like fuck

This does nothing for me. A simple "Yes, if you were fertilized in another egg you'd be different" or "No, you wouldn't be different" would help a bunch.

Oh understood, the answer is: Yes, if your mom wasn't inbred and fucked someone outside of her family instead of her bother you would be different.

Okay I'm sorry for posting that, but seriously, you should do some research about genetics on your own. There's plenty of info out there!

Yes it would matter if the egg was from another person. Both cells contain chromosomes/genes used for determining genetic traits; it would be like mixing blue and red and getting purple versus mixing blue and yellow and getting green.
