I go to a Christian university and my professor's refute to this claim was that He's God therefore He is able to do anything even give us free will even though he knows what's going to happen. Yeah, he has a doctorate in this shit and that was his big answer.

There actually is an easy answer to this one. In order to be able to go to heaven or hell you have to have a soul. The soul in a human is the breath of God that was breathed into Adam when he was created from the dust of the earth. Since animals weren't created with God's breath they neither go to heaven nor hell. I guess they just die lol.
If God knows everything then that means he knows what everyone is going to do in the future. He knows what you alone are going to say, think and do from now until the end of time. Therefor, everything you will do in the future has already been pre-determined by God. God could tell you what you're going to do and you could do something different, but God already knows what that something different is.
If every word of the bible is true, and you believe it, then you have no free will because everything you will ever do has already been pre-determined.
