I found the Interview really interesting.
I've never been a big fan of the NY series, but I have laughed at it in the past.
I think IllWill started out as being famous for making funny Flash movies, then a few people decided they didn't like them, and the idea of disliking IllWill caught on.....

like, you see a whole load of people saying rude things to an author on NG and you join in, just for the sake of it.
Eventually I think it became habit for people to say bad things about the NY series, whether the episodes were good or not.

something like that, anyway.

I'm looking foward to lots more interviews in NG mag, its such a brilliant idea.

I just find it comical how this turned into a flame war. The primary "points" the anti-Foamy people have were:

1) He never responds to anything/doesn't participate in Newgrounds as a whole
2) He's in it for the money
3) It's the same crap again and again

Well, hopefully this interview (which he didn't need to do) clears up one and two. As for three, if you don't like the movies, DON'T WATCH THEM. Simple as that.

I am tired of seeing illwillpress get all of this fame. Hell, he is even the first one interviewed in NG Mag.

1) All his cartoons are is a stupid annoying squirrel babbling over and over again about shit.
2) Most of his fans are just idiot 13 year olds that want to see the goth chick naked.
3) He doesn't respond to his reviews.
4) He doesn't respect his fans. Have any of you ever seen his foamy fan mails? Look at the disrespect he shows towards his fans in those.
5) He is a sell out. He is selling shitty drawings of foamy on ebay and getting a ton of money for it.

I don't know about the other points, but I think he is justified in not replying to reviews. If he gets SO many that he can't ever reply to all, or even most of them, then he has decided not to reply to any. It makes it easier, and also much fairer.

Oh my god! I'm sure you could do much better...c'mon, lets see your talent, your original series. Lets see you respond to all 2000+ reveiws. Really...he's doing something he enjoys, trying to make something of it, and whats more, he's entertaining people. I don't see you doing any better, so what gives you the right to flame him?

Oh, and one last thing I forgot to add: he never participates in any newgrounds activities. I never see him doing any Newgrounds Jams, or Time Trials or anything like that.

Maybe he doesn't have time for them, or maybe no one has ever asked him to be in one?
There are loads of famous authors who've never made it into an NG Jam or a Time Trial.

I think there are plenty of authors who do much worse things.
Just because he used to be really popular, and now is famous for being unpopular (among some people)

Big deal? Negrounds isn't everyones life man. He has his own website to monitor, he's constantly working, and I'm sure, like the rest of us, he has some kind of a social life.
No-one ever said good artists have to compete in the TT's or NG Jam's, infact, they are a good way of getting new artists heard of. Now shut y'er yappin.

By the way, I never said I like the guys work, but I just think, maybe you should lay off his case, instead of picking apart every single thing he does and breaking it down into something he's possibly doing wrong.

True, that would be okay if he put out half the time and effort of flash authors, the ones that don't get any cash at all from what they do. He doesn't have any talent, he just got lucky. He even said himself that he didn't expect what happened, to happen, when he first started. He saw what worked and he whored it.

We all gotta get by in life, but i'm still going to believe his $uccess is largely undeserved. His one redeeming quality, to me at least, is that he is not a lardass motorist. But he is still one arrogant dude in his little interview. Talking about the ppl who don't think he deserves his success, he says they lack talent and so on. Pfft, gimme a break you schmuck.

So, overall, i agree with what TheLord04 wrote.
