What if I'm the one that takes them away? :F
True enough, I've lost two to car accidents and another to suicide in the last 5 years. Tragedies happen everywhere.
Its coz we like to drive fast to impress our friends.
The title of this thread is very misleading. They aren't your friends anymore if they are dead. You just can't stroll past their graves or urns and strike up a casual conversation without the mental hospital getting involved and taking you away.
I will be horrified if I've forgotten about someone, but I don't think I've lost any close friends yet. I know several kids in my town who never made it to 20. It's quite a sad thought.
Drug overdose, heart failure (x2) and double death on a motorcycle come to mind.

So I made this thread because my friend who I've known all my life died in a car accident. I'm resurecting it now because a friend I've had for a few years now OD 'd (we think)and died just last night.
I'm sad and all but at the same time I feel really proud of myself for getting off of drugs when I did. Pat me on my back.
Anyone can die at any age. It is sad when teenagers/young adults lose their lives (even when sometimes it is down to their own fault - drug abuse, car racing), but there are simply tragic deaths for any age, and none of us can be sure how long we have on this earth.
A guy at work a few weeks ago just lost his nephew. The kid was 9 and just basically dropped down dead. Obviously there is an inquest going on, most likely down to a heart issue that no one knew about before. Which does happen, rare but it happens enough.
Point is, we can never know when we or our friends or our family will die. Life doesn't go the way it's supposed to often.
or motorcycle accident.
i lost about five, to cars and motorcycle accident's.

Everyone dies, bro. There's no question of if, only when, and how. Never knew anyone I was close to yet that died, but it's a part of life, and I've just got to accept that. That being said, I really hope I don't die at 23, because i haven't accomplished enough. After I've done all I want and gotten all I want out of life, then I can die peacefully. If not, well, I'll be dead, so I probably won't care when all is said and done.
friends are disposable
it's sad when a family member dies, because you can't replace that person
you can easily replace a friend

You can replace friends yes, but it doesn't stop your original ones from having sealed their place into youe heart, and like when removing a bandaid quickly, there is a sharp pain there then usually a continuing throb until the wound heals.
You can replace friends, hell you can replace family actually, but it's how a person affects you personally that matters. They don't have to be family for you to love them.
I've got that covered since I have no friends.

I mentioned in my last post that a kid from my town died from a drug overdose too. If I remember correctly, he was found on Christmas morning. He wasn't a friend of mine as such, but I'd spoken to him a few weeks/months before.
Don't do drugs.

No one knows exactly how he died yet, everyone just assumes it was drug related. Life is fucking messed up.
Losing friends is hard. One of my closest friends/roommate committed suicide at the start of the year. But death is apart of life and we all have to get used to it.
