Hosney Mubarak has been in power for >20 years now. This would be a tall order.

Especially since Egypt has a standing army of 450,000 soldiers with modern western hardware.

Did I mention Tunisia only had a small sized "army" armed with dated russian weapons that our national guard would laugh at?

It's a bit of a tough call, but the opposition can approach the Military, who aren't exactly happy Mubarak has been grooming his son for succession.

If backroom deals can be made, they should be made. The Military is likely the best route for regime change left for the opposition.

The Military hasn't really gotten too involved in suppressing the riots, so you can see them taking a bit of a back burner on this one, it's mostly the police and federal counter terrorism units that are manning the stations in riot gear.

I think this revolution which was going on well before the internet was shut down in fucking awesome. Hopefully Egypt will know democracy and also have the motivation to push for the liberation of her neighbors Libya and Sudan.

Gee, when was the last time we got an internet meme come out of Egypt? Even Kenya got an internet meme (some horse thing). The funny thing is that last year my parents just went over to Egypt because they wanted to visit some place in Africa. Remind me not to go over to Egypt on vacation, because I will not be able to use Internet. Of course, with all the trouble over there, a lack of Internet connection will probably be the least of my problems anyway.
