This is a tread to discuss any game that you anticipate for 2011, as well as the ones already out.

Some of the most anticipated games for 2011:

The only game I believe that has gotten big hype and it is already out is probably Dead Space 2.

I've been looking forward to Dead Space 2 for some time. I loved the original Dead Space, beat the campaign several times through. Still haven't gotten around to purchasing it because I've had so much going on.

However, Skyrim has to be the game I'm looking forward to the most. Absolutely loved Oblivion to death, and I'm ready to pick up the story in Skyrim.

I am totally getting Duke Nukem Forever. That's one of my top games for this year. That and Portal 2, which I shall be getting for the 360 since I don't have a PS3 and my PC is a laptop, derp. I'm also interested in Bulletstorm and Batman Arkham City. But always bet on Duke!

As far as new hardware, I'ma get both the 3DS and the PSP2... er, I mean the NGP, because I'm an idort like that. I'm leaning more to getting the 3DS first since it's going to be out right around the corner. As for the NGP, I'm going to wait and see if they'll give out more info about it. Both handhelds' libraries are stellar, with the 3DS having Street Fighter IV, Metal Gear Solid, Paper Mario, Zelda: Ocarina of Time and more, and with the NGP's Killzone, Resistance, Uncharted, LittleBigPlanet, and more.

The reason I'm waiting about the NGP is two things: one, the battery life. I realize that the 3DS's battery life isn't all that great, but compared to the NGP, I'd imagine if Sony doesn't have a super-battery for it, it's going to have horrid battery life. Imagine trying to run a PS3 on complete battery life in the palm of your hands... yeah. Second, the 3G. If 3G has anything, and I mean ANYTHING, to do with AT&T, I will never buy it unless it's optional or with Verizon. Other than that, a major step-up from the PSP.

Mass Effect 3, Skyrim, Deus Ex HR, SWTOR, Brink and Dragon Age II might be the only games I buy this year unless I can find Dead Space 2 for a really cheap PC price and the port is good or HL Episode 3 comes out at the very end of the year.

played the Crysis 2 demo today...quite liked it. Don't think I'll buy it though, seems to run way too slow on an Xbox.
