team fortress 2 help

I'm new to TF2 and don't know how to get a gun. I chose the fat guy apparently and all he does is punch people, no gun.

You probably joined a melee server. Every class has a default load-out.

yeah everytime you die you lose your weapons and have to buy new ones with the money you get from killing other players

so someone said that if I delete system 32 stuff will work better on my computer. Is this true?

Go check the GAME CONTROLS in the MAIN MENU.

And make sure you don't join a MELEE ONLY SERVER.

Now, you probably joined a melee-only server. That means you're only allowed to use your third weapon, whatever map, whatever round, but only on that or other melee servers. Normally you have a primary weapon, a secondary weapon, and the melee weapon. Now, join any normal server and you'll see that you're able to use all three (or more in the case of the spy and engie) of your weapons. Go on a different server because the one your on seems to be melee only. Also press n to view and manage your weapons. or maybe its m. One of those should work.
