Me neither.
I liked them until I heard Lateralus, and I got bored of them then. I still like some of the Ænema stuff though.

I'll decide whenever I get the album.
Not in the slightest.
I know why you disagree. I&W has Kevin Moore, while 6DOIT doesn't. :P
Again, no way.
Probably the same reason for I&W.
Nope.
Yes!
This is difficult.... overall, 6DOIT is better.... but Octavarium (the song) has an awful lot of win in it.
Yeah, that is the problem with Octavarium. It's great for the title track, but excluding that song, the album is pretty weak.
THey're filler DT songs.
They're not fillers! You probably havn't given those songs much of a chance. It did take time for me to like Blind Faith, Misunderstood and Disappear. I thought they were alright songs at first, but now, I find them all fucking awesome.
At 5/13/07 02:35 PM, stealth-bomb666 wrote: do any of u guys like this cd??? and which cd is there best??
I've not listened to The Wretched Spawn and I never plan to, because the Cannibal Corpse albums I've listened to really disappointed me. I only like a very few amount of their songs and that's it.

I disagree because its a better album.
Metropolis and Learning to Live shit on everything on 6DOIT.
Probably the same reason for I&W.
No >:(. Space-Dye Vest, Scarred, Erotomania, Voices, The Mirror/Lie...... its a much better album, despite the fillers it has.
Awake is their best album I've decided :).

Urgh, my ears have just been assaulted by an absolutely terrible band.
Winters Verge.
The vocalist can't sing. Normally this wouldn't be a problem, however he doesn't growl or scream or grunt, he actually TRIES to sing and keeps on hitting duff notes.
The actual music is a bit naff as well, its power metal, but bland as hell.

Lol, some of the people in my town are so stupid when it comes to metal, recently i've had all these things happen:
This stupid pseudo-emo whore that I hate, I asked her if she even KNEW what an Emo is and she said" people who listen to heavy metal" God, did I get pissed.
Also, Today, A guy in my school asked me if i was going to "Carnival Corks" I said, no, but I am going to cannibal corpse.
And, Me and a friend of mine, that loves Megadeth, were listening to "Symphony of destruction"
because he loves that song, when suddenly, this chick that's also there that keeps sayin' she's metal, just asks me" what band is this?"
I said "Megadeth."
She said: "Oh, so are they any good?"
OF COURSE THEY'RE GOOD, IT'S MEGADETH, FOR antiCHRIST'S SAKE!

Same here. But there's this kid in my class that has Death's whole discography. Sweet. Now I'm not the only one that listens to Death and owns all the albums in this town. True metal for me only. I was talking with one of my friends that works at our local cd store (he likes Death, Blind Guardian, iced Earth, Deicide, Megadeth, etc) and he said I just can't stand metalcore. Neither can I. It may have metal in it but it's not what good metal is. We both can't stand cradle of filth because it's not true black metal like Mayehm, Immortal, or Darkthrone.

Not all thrash is bad. Testament is good. They have a demonic like incorporation into their music. Just listen to Diciples of the Watch. Without thrash there would be no Black metal.

see now for me thrash needs to have a certain taint to it for me to find it enjoyable, for example i like a bit of nevermore for its slightly darker feel to it (i think thats classed as as thrash) i hate Annihilator cos its just bore's me same with megadeth although i do somewhat despise Mustaines voice. i can tolerate a bit of slayer because of the crazyness to it and kind of the same with venom.
and without stuff like the blues and jazz there would be no rock and therefore no metal, i prefer the offspring of thrash then thrash itself, like how you would rather hang out with your friend rather then your friends dad :P

Thrash is great once you get into more obscure bands. Bands like Vio-lence, Exhorder, Dark Angel, Exodus, Hirax, Nuclear Assault, SOD, etc. are pure bred thrash with balls to prove it.
Here I am, bored with everything.

Exodus are amazing, but I thought they were quite well known?
On the topic of Megadeth:
Meh, I can take 'em or leave 'em. Not bad, but not amazing either in my opinion.

Megadeth are good; they were sort of progressive thrash, and I like that. However, they're not godly, they were just good.

Hey, bishes.
I'm back, and with a killer hairstyle!
The Disposable Heroes would be going a lot better if I could do anything close to James' voice. Actually, I would sound better performing them as Mark Hunter did (who, is brilliant, regardless of what the majority of the population think). I got the chorus for Where Dragons Fight done.
Where Dragons Rule
Where Dragons fight
Where Dragons live
And where Dragons die
Above the snow capped mountains
In a flurry of blood and fire
The Dragons fight for supremecy
Their situation is dire!
This is...
(heavy bass playing and drum beats)
Where Dragons fight!
I've decided to abandon it trying to sound anything like Dragonforce, I just can't play that fast, also, I think my brother sprained his wrist trying to play as fast as Steve. It sounds typically power-metallish, just not as fast as Dragonforce.
And I swear...I am seriously considering stealing money out of my mum's purse and buying that fucking guitar myself

Kreator and Celtic Frost are nowhere near blackened thrash. First off, Celtic Frost isn't thrash, and second, Destroyer 666 is a good blackened thrash band.

I suppose, but I found out about them quite soon after I started listening to metal, so they can't be that obscure...bleh.
Anyway, doesn't matter. They Kick ass regardless.
I could do with getting some more stuff by Exodus, any recommendations for which albums?
