Pelican completely blows them out of the water.

We've had our fun. I agree with Duff and ean5, if I hear from you once more, you're banned.

Animals as Leaders is pretty close to metal already. I don't really see where you're going with this, but yeah, they're good.
I've listened to some stuff by Anaal Nathrakh lately, and these guys are rather interesting. I don't know quite yet if I'm really enjoying their stuff, or if it's just... so brutal, so raw, so in your face and original, that I have to listen to it. However, I've only listened to one of their albums, and I have yet to explore more of their discography to know if they progressed in anyway throughout their career. The album I own is In the Constellation of the Black Widow. If you guys are interested by killer black metal/grindcore, I'd say these guys do quite the job.
In conclusion, I've still added these guys to my imaginary list of very very brutal bands alongside with Balrog and Infernal Stronghold. Anyway... if you guys know them, let me know. And if you know any other raw and brutal bands, outside of noisy and distortined disembodied "music", I'd be really happy if you could share.
Anaal Nathrakh - In The Constellation Of The Black Widow - Full-length
Anaal Nathrakh are awesome. I still love how they program their drums, gives it that cold, mechanical touch. I can't exactly recommend any one album, but I personally still think their debut full length is their best, but that's probably nostalgia.
I'll get back at you with some recs later.

That's why I love Aborym's earlier stuff too; the drums had this cold, mechanical feel as well.
So after looking for awhile I finally found a "Blackened Stoner Metal" band.
The band is Bong Goblin.
I don't know why it took so long to find a Blackened Stoner Metal band....but I dont know...I guess I over look stuff xD

I wouldn't trade the vocals of greats like Bruce Dickinson, Ozzie Osbourne, Ronnie James Dio, James LaBrie, Alice Cooper, hell, even James Hetfield or Dave Mustaine to have just instrumental metal.
Instrumentals have their place in Metal, just not all of it.
Mick Kenney from Anaal Nathrakh had a side project called Professor Fate, which wasn't metal, but was really awesome. The album he did under that name is one of my favorite albums.
There went my chance to see Ghost live until they tour in the UK again.
I still haven't checked out Ghost. Is it still a mystery who the members are?

What happened? o.O
I missed a chance to see Bongripper last night in Chicago. After last night they wont be back here for a bit because they're going to be touring in Europe or something....I would have tried to find a way to go there if I knew about it beforehand, but I didn't find out til a couple hours before the show started....

Yeah it is. And I dont know why but I feel it makes them a tad more interesting because they have it that way.

I took the wrong train tickets with me. What I had with me were for next month's train journey to see Helloween, Gamma Ray and Sonata Atctica.
I saw Ghost last year, it was outside and cold as fuck for some reason even though it was in the summer and the sun was shining, so it was pretty unenjoyable.
I listened to the new Enforcer album, it is probably their best album so far.

Oh....that sucks. Well hopefully it wont bee too long before they tour in the UK again.

I assume he was talking about death growls, screams, shreiks, guttural vocals and basicaly anything that isn't "clean vocals" or anything stepping outside of the mental boundaries created by musicaly limited people...
R.I.P. David Parland
i'm like...5 days late but whatever.
I got myself two new albums :)
Accept - Balls To The Walls
Arch/Matheos - Sympathetic Resonance
And I am also getting into Nokturnal Mortum right now, and I have to say that their music is just... awesome!
Nokturnal Mortum - Ð"Ð¾Ð»Ð¾Ñ Ð¡Ñ'алÑ-
I've been getting into Summoning a lot recently. Which is odd, considering when I first listened I wasn't all that interested in them, but the more I do, the more I love it. Especially Minas Morgul which has some really great tracks.
And going along with what Sense-Offender said, I have also not yet listened to Ghost. I'm guessing I'm missing out?

Yes. Yes you are.
On the topic of Ghost. A few more songs from (im not even going to attempt to spell it) have popped up online.

I like their songs "Valkyries" and "White Tower". Simply amazing.

They seem to be like Devin Townsend in terms of frequent UK shows. I'm starting to wonder if Devin even plays outside this country.
I'm feeling better since my last post here. Hopefully I have one hell of a show for Helloween, Gamma Ray and Sonata Arctica. I suppose it's getting FOUR T-shirts for that week alone.
So...bad news for Baroness fans. It seems that Matt Maggioni and Allen Blickle have left the band.
So now the band is down to only John Baizley and Peter Adams.

I wish more decent bands would tour around here....I might be seeing Boris in May. But I fucking MISSED Orange Goblin while they were touring with Clutch because I found out like the day afterwards that they were near here. Though High On Fire are going to be nearish to here in April and I'm going to see if I can go see them because I missed seeing them the last few times they were here because Matt Pike was in rehab and the other one was because it was 21+ -_-

That reminds me. I'm seriously in need of more band shirts ._. Specifically metal band shirts. Because all I have is Red Fang and Sleep. I've been looking at a few Electric Wizard, Death, Control Denied, ASG, and Kyuss shirts.

Nokturnal Mortum - Ãf"ÃfÃ'¾ÃfÃ'»ÃfÃ'¾Ãf' ÃfÃ'¡Ãf''ÃfÃ'°ÃfÃ'»Ãf'-
Just to start an interesting discussion here, a lot of people criticize Nokturnal Mortum for being racist. What do you guys think? I personally don't listen to their stuff enough to make a fair judgement, but I'm curious to hear what you guys think.
Gromm - The Pest of Black Metal
So apparently Ghost are delaying the release of their new album because of "controversial album art"
But I guess the European version will still have the original artwork.

All their lyrics are in ukrainian, and they're so screeched I wouldn't understand them, racist or not.
