mallcore people in my area are usually into system,nirvana(nowere near metal) ,korn,cradle(nymphetamine usually),sometimes dimmu,and slipknot.

someone linked me to this erlier. =/ so prepare for the exploitation of black metal. this should creat a uprising of metal noobs getting into black meta...in my opinion a very.very,very bad thing.

Ah yeah, I heard about that! It's all over metal forums everywhere! The movie should be an interesting watch.

Well about Metallica... early Metallica was musically pretty good, they always had a nice buildup, and a pretty cool song structure. But I just never really liked their music apart from some songs, because I don't give a shit about buildup and structure =P. It's the post-Blackalbum Metallic that spawned the crap-bands...

Any non-eighties metallica sucks. Period. The rest is commercial for the sake of money. I dont fault bands for trying to reach a wider audience, but for cash alone is pathetic (yeah, I know they gotta eat too, but come on, CDs are ridiculously expensive, even metal ones). Plus Cliff Burton died, and that took a lot from the band. Still, I like thier older stuff...They have some good songs. But are they as good as the godlike status says they are? Nope.

Goatchrist, a specific question: How much better is Behemoth's Zos Kia Cultus than Demigod? Because I got Demigod and I love it, but I've heard from numerous websites that ZKC is better than Demigod, and I figured you'd be the person to ask.

That's open to everyone else too : ). Just wanna know before I buy anything. Damn, too many good cds....

Zos Kia Cultus is VERY good, but in my opinion Demigod is so much better. If i was you, i would buy zos kia cultus first, becos listening to demigod 1st, fucks all the other albums up for you..(well it did for me anyway)

It's difficult to say, really. Riff-wise, I'd say that Demigod is better. The riffs on Demigod just crush and are still catchy, but I think the vocal delivery was better on ZKC. Both rule, but I guess i like Demigod a little more. Thelema.6 is their best, IMO, though :)

to X_Imperium_X: I REALLY like ZKC a lot more.. although as GoatChrist says, Demigod has a bit better riffage.. but the whole feeling of ZKC is what got me

Also, it seems the only person who says that "Lords of Chaos" (the book) is full of lies is Varg Vikernes, and he's an asshole. He's just mad that the book made him seem like an asshole (which he is.) Seriously. In every interview I've read about him he's the biggest asshole I've ever heard of.

This week I bought two CD's, Hellfire Club by the band Edguy, which is one of my favorites bands.

I bought the Live Album of Slipknot, because I really like the way that they make the people move and participate in the show. Thats the reason why I still like slipknot even If now I listen to much more better bands than them.

not really dude, I mean, sure Varg is pompous and all.. but still, I've read the book, and it focuses more on making it all look satanic and evil, which feels just as nice as it feels like it's overly exaggerated

You know what was cool? Last year at Wacken Open Air, there was this german guy reading the book out loud in the most hilarious way possible near the 39472398 feet long queue to the toilets =P
