Well...make that favorite bands, not favorite metal bands then. All those bands kick ass, imo. Also, I guess I have trouble distinguishing metal from hardcore O.o;

That sucks... You know what else sucks? About 3 months ago my computer had about 10000 songs and my band was recording stuff and it was all on my computer, and somehow my hard-drive got erased... It was horrible... The recorded stuff wasnt that much of a loss, but the losing of the songs was cause i bought a lot of them from iTunes or downloaded them off the internet, or burned the cd and ended up losing the cd... Now with my fixed computer i only have about 1150 songs :(

EEK....Hearing that story gave me the final kick in the ass I needed to make back up disks for all my music. I've only got about 1200 songs on here as it is (10k is nuts dude lol), but i'd never feel like downloading all that crap again...By the way, why use i-tunes to buy songs? Limewires the way to go; It's free, mostly safe if you run virus scans, and with high speed internet I can get a song in about a minute and thirty seconds.

Haha, I agree, but dude, we aren't allowed to talk about filesharing, piracy, etc. here. We already got warned once.

SUPPORT MUSICIANS! :D Well, I support my favourite bands by buying their stuff.
WillPostForFood, the pedal is really nice, i don't miss the gain knob at all. Yeah, I heard mixed things about every pedal, but looks like I got the right on.
btw, many people say that the Digitech Death Metal drains so much battery power in no time. I didn't notice that yet, have played for about 4 1/2 hours already and the LED still shines bright.

I only have two pedals: An RP50 and a cheap boss ds-1 disto. The boss disto has a really dry and chunky and ugly tone, I use it just to "dirty" up my sound. The RP50 has some pretty goddamn good tone, so I don't complain. With the RP50 and boss in tandem, you can get shit that goes beyond "Nattens Madrigal" Ulver in terms of distortion. I think you guys have heard songs from "Memories of Discord" (They're available on this site) and I used the boss and RP50 in tandem. It makes for icy guitar tone.

Don't worry, I'm just into shit that has to be at least 50 times more brutal than standard metal. (recently a lot of Sunn0))) ) I'm also an mtvhell elitist so expect nothing else from me than critisizing untrue bands... =P

Underoath - And dont worry about the metal/hardcore thing, they are kind of similar, just that hardcore has a more punk-rockish influence, and isnt as hard (IMO). It took me a while to learn the difference between death and black metal (hell, I still have trouble sometimes), but It'll come

I've used Limewire in the past (my dad even got the one you pay for), and well i couldnt find a lot of stuff i wanted to download which made me lose intrest, also (more of a personal problem) i dont like downloading songs and when i open them on iTunes i dont like refilling all the info for a lot of songs that i download...

Haha, I so agree with you man...sadly, Metallica will still be "legendary" in the years to come...too bad the good thrash bands never got so much recognition.
Your band plays Death in Fire too? I can understand that because that song just fucking rules :P

Well, I'd say Metallica was an even worse thing than System and Slipknot, because Metallica spawned bands like System and Slipknot.

Bah...Been away. I never liked Damage Plan in the first place lol...They never were that good, and Dime was MUCH better in Pantera. Pantera was good...
I'm lucky, all the mallgoths around where I am dont even listen to metal. The hardest they go is Screamo (ha...)
Haven't heard much of Amon Amarth though...
Sometimes I wish I had something valuable to contribute to the conversation...

I just downloaded some, not really my style, but it sounds damn fine if you ask me. Cool drums XD
And about the Amon Amarth mallcorians, it's seriously happening here. First only Cradle of Filth, Rammstein & Dimmu Borgir fell victim to the pink haired, 1 foot long, lollypop sucking emocore bitches, but now even the better bands like Amon, Vader, Nile and Deicide are being attacked. Don't get me wrong, it's good that they're getting into better music than crap, but they do it for the wrong reasons and to hide their noobness. They find some 'underground' bands on the web (even though I don't think Deicide n stuff is underground, at least not here(Netherlands, Europe)) and start annoying the older fans at their concerts. They usually do it just to boost their ego, and say they're into 'tr00 black' when they listened to Dimmu Borgir once. And if they choose to be into 'BRUTAWL DAETHH METAWL' they name bands like Arch Enemy, In Flames or Amon Amarth... fuck... they SO suck

Mallcorians here don't even know Cradle of Filth....their typical shit here is "Korn, Slipknot, Rammstein, Otep and new Metallica. I guess about 20 people(from 13000) in my town know Amon Amarth....
