I find Trivium's first couple albums difficult for me to really get into, but Shogun on the other hand, had some decent stuff. I enjoy a couple songs off that album every once in a while.

The only Trivium album I really don't like is The Crusade. I think their earlier stuff is as good as Metalcore can get (which is to say, "alright") and Shogun was pretty decent.

Most of you guys think all the core fans only listen to core, but that's not true, me for example, I like core and metal. I like Killswithc Engage, BFMV, Shadows Fall, Trivium, As I Lay Dying, All That Remains, August Burns Red, The Agonist... but that doesn't make me less trve, because beside that I love Insomnium, Opeth, Totalselfhatred, Dream Theater, Mastodon, Gorgoroth, Dissection, Abysmal Dawn, Ahab, Black Sun Aeon... Well, I know, it's stupid hear them listening to core and start calling it Metal, but well, it's Metal core... And there are some bands that sound Metal like BFMV, Trivium and Shadows Fall.

Metallica started off as a thrash band, Trivium was never thrash.
