Well, they have Primordial. That's definitely good stuff. And Waylander is okay. I'd have to listen to Cruachan again before I would say that they're decent at all. It's been a while. Looking back, I'm not so sure. I know their cover of the Wild Rover was just shit. As far as I know, Ireland doesn't really have anything that's completely amazing.

And dude, every country has its metal.

Atleast Ireland has Thin lizzy, which isn't metal but still one of the most influential bands for the genre.

Ireland also has Mael Mordha and I think Doomsword were from Ireland for a while, but relocated to Italy (it could be the other way around)

Funny enough, those were three bands I looked into. Like you said, Waylander are OK and Primordial are pretty good. I did enjoy the music I heard from Cruachan. I also looked into Mael Mordha who were also enjoyable from what I heard.
