Disliking a band or genre is not a good reason to bash on it. If a musical genre is not appealling to you... please try to show some intelligence and understand that you cannot like everything. And that everything that you don't like is not shit. Therefore you should not bash on music that just isn't appealling to you. But! If you really feel that a band or a whole musical genre lacks any kind of artistic value and that you have good arguments to support your opinions. THAN, why not?
For example, I may dislike Rap music and still understand that there can be a value in the lyrics or work in the beats or creativity in the way to write music. But I HATE 50 Cent, because he raps about cash, cars, gangstaz and hoes. And that I believe that since it has been done countless times in the past and that these lyrics are about uninterresting subjects and blah blah blah. THAT is a good opinion.

I don't know the later works of Emperor well enough but that's what Metal-Archives and Wikipedia said and yes, while both may not be the most reliable sources, it's the most I can follow for the time being.

I think its a fine reason. Disliking a band is enough for me to dislike the band. I can assess why I dislike a band, but the reason I dislike most things is just because I don't enjoy listening to it. My mind either says 'yes' or 'no'.
