Hey Smeagol, you should learn bass or something and make her the singer in a band!

There needs to be more female metal singers

No, but that sounds epic! Could you provide some linkage or information on this album fine sir?

Sadly, I can't link you (itouch doesn't have a copy/paste function), but you can find the single (along with its video), "Deep down into the pain" in youtube.

My mate 'acquired' me around about 15-20 or something albums a few weeks ago during our uni break. He downloaded all of it within 30 seconds at 45mb/s. It was quite epic :3

I'll be back after i've listened to it all (or some of it, it's gonna be a while) with recommendations :3

Haha, well yeah I have four Slough Feg albums now, probably will get Hardworlder in a matter of hours.

About 7 seconds into Sky Chariots, do you guys hear someone talking very low for like one second? I'm pretty sure I do. something accidentally picked up during recording, perhaps. At first, I thought it was my neighbors talking, but I heard it again after I restarted the song.

Yep. Not very loud though. Doesn't bother me at all.

THAT WAS THE WHOLE REASON I POSTED IT. GOSH.

So as none of you know, I am holiday-ing in the city of Adelaide at the moment. It is quite famous in Australia for being the city with the most churches in the country. And the most murders. And the most drugs.

But I just went shopping and got Opeth's Roundhouse DVD for $30, Clutch's brand new album, which has fucking awesome packaging by the way, and Death's Sounds of Perseverance.

Shopping is METAL

It was pretty much the Metal Hell in general as well as Brutal Legend's soundtrack that got me to start listening to Slough Feg, so I'm grateful for both. :D

I think I started listening to them because of Ponosososososos singing Vargr Theme/Confrontation.

His voice on Painkiller is ridiculous.
And that in my opinion stands top of my 'Best covers ever' list.

DUN DUN DUGAGA DUN DUN

And I started listening to Slough Feg because I saw them on your Last.fm page. I thought they were some death metal band or something, clicked on their page and discovered they were folk/heavy metal.

And that sounded awesome to me.

Under a Vargr moon, fire still glistening
Back on the skywalks I'm not even listening

CRONOR! MORA! FIRGR! GLISTEN!

So I just watched Roundhouse. I think it might possibly be the greatest DVD in world history as of right now. Really amazing. There's none better than Opeth.

Well, yeah that's a lie really. Death's Sound of Perseverance is way more metal. And Opeth's style is too restricted and tame, they're lack the element of surprise and experimentation. But they are still 10/10.

So I'm listening to Nostrodamus by Judas Priest.
First time since I initially heard it months ago.
Back then it was like eh, not bad for a Priest album.
Today is different though.
Maybe it's all the rain.
My last day at 44.
Dunno really.
But I am really liking this for what it is: A concept album.
There is some filler on it yeah, but also some really good shit.
So I'm curious, What does everyone else think of it?

I originally found them ages ago on wikipedia, when I was searching for celtic folk metal bands like Mael Mordha and Aes Dana. I didn't check out Slough Feg for whatever reason, and later I heard good things and finally got around to getting Traveller.

I know I mentioned this before, but once again, has anyone noticed that bass player is usually the least constant member in a band? Either a band goes through several bass players (such as Metallica, Black Label Society and Meshuggah) or the sole line-up change in the band is the bass player (Tool and now Evile). Note that I'm referring to members who are soley the bassist, not the bassist/vocalist.
