Lemmy might be a king, but God = Ronnie James DIO. You all know it.

And I should really kick you all in the ass for not discussing the new Heaven and Hell album. For the fools, it's the new Black Sabbath record with Dio and it kicks ass.

and Kidd is gay for not checking it out.

Hey, i went to a motherfucking Heaven and hell concert last week and made a brief report about it a few pages back.
Like i said it was kind of lame because of my shitty seats, but still a good show. The album is ok, but it lacks decent riffs and vocal melodies, old work is much better.

Ah, I remember. You are excused :)

Traitor! It's better than the Ozzy stuff and a great mixture of the three Dio albums. There are some excellent vocal melodies there (Bible Black, Double the Pain, Breaking Into Heaven)!

But to each his own :P

I was referring to the older albums they made with Dio, not Ozzy.

I don't deny the importance of early Sabbath, but no Ozzy material comes close to Heaven and Hell, Dehumanizer or even Mob Rules.

I do prefer Dio's solo career, though.

Hey, guys! I found one of the best bands ever! Sounds a lot like Dimmu. They're called Cobalt, and I think they're foreign, because I can't find much of them. Only one full song and a bunch of samples.

Also check out Misanthrope. They've got some cool songs, especially Nevrose.

I like the Black Sabbath with Ozzy better than with Dio. I mean fuck the guys got a festivial named after him! I like Dios solo stuff as well.

On the whole Dio VS Ozzy thing:

I prefer Dio's solo stuff, but I prefer Ozzy with Black Sabbath.

I dunno, I guess I just think his voice suits their sound more.

Black Sabbath's first 6 albums with Ozzy Osbourne 1970 - 1975 = Pure awesomeness.

Every else that has has to do with Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne = Shitness.

Dio = No thanks.

I don´t think its that, but Ozzy era had all the awesome guitar riffs and shit.
I don´t care if its Ozzy or Dio singing, but Tony Iommi was on fire back then.

I got Gamma Ray's Blast from the Past today. Now I'm usually against compilation albums, but this album has re-recordings of a selection of tracks from their first four albums, so that's hearing Kai Kiske singing on their older stuff.

As for the whole Ozzy vs Dio debate, while Dio's a better vocalist overall, I prefer songs from the Ozzy era simply because of their first few albums.

I saw them at concert, Dio's vocals are still great!

I've been meaning to pick up their new album very soon. Just need more money first.

I say this.
Lemmy is the MAN, he plays bass, guitar, harmonica and sings and writes.
He is a fucking legend.
He is a God among mortals.
Dio is a great singer.
He is also an elf.
GOD>elf.

Dio plays keyboards, writes stories, twisted lyrics and sings like no one else. He also co-writes each and every album he releases.

Let's keep it at that, both are living legends. Without a doubt. And both still got it.

Dude, the toy is like 250 bucks.
For a toy.
You know how much Metal you can buy for 250?
A good Heavy amount.
I would really reconsider.

Don't care. I love the sounds of screaming when I unload on someone full auto. I get my metal through people plus I got a shit load of money I could buy even more metal with. I want.....to destroy moral on the battlefield, I want to reign supreme. this week I shall bring Ragnarok when I order then all those who oppose me shall fall in pain. I'll also be able to pepper the bastard of a raccon who goes in my trash at night.

I'm thinking about buying a bass and an amp (150 watts). Is $800 a good price when starting to play and buying your first instrument?

Depends how serious you are about it.

I mean my first guitar was an acoustic and only costed me $30 and there are guitars out there worth hundreds or even thousands of dollars.

Well... you should guess that if I'm thinking about putting $800 on it... I'm kind of serious, don't you think :P

yup, but I'd like to go for an electric bass and I don't think I'll find anything for 30 bucks...

I like your attitude, getting a decent instrument straight away is so much more logical.

In fact the bass will only cost $200, the amp cost a lot more money though...

But should I get a bass with passive or active pick-ups ?
