Melvins are underrated as fuck. I'm pretty happy I discovered them. I think that was Idiot's doing. And I've heard of Fantomas, just havn't got around to listening to them. I'll go get an album of theirs right now actually.

And the only Rhapsody I've heard was that video Ani linked. That was shit.

And yes, Wintersun are shit too.

Kyuss - Phototropic

I like ... And the Circus Leaves Town, it's a great album. I'm currently getting my band to cover One Inch Man.

Yes, I can sing and play that at the same time. I'm a talented little fuck.

I also want to cover The Devil and Me by Clutch, but it's difficult to sing and play. And I don't think my bass player would be able to play it. But it's a brilliant song, and I really want us to play it.

Under a light, that I have never seen......

Oh, and because I'm assuming none of you listen to Fu Manchu, this might change your minds. They're great stoner rock. Brant Bjork from Kyuss played drums for the studio version, I don't think he's playing on this live version though.

They should calm down and let you go a bit. Nothing is wrong with letting their son have fun at a concert. You'll be just like an adult and such. You'll be fine. But I'm jealous so I might kill you.

That's a shame, I actually find Wintersun's debut album and Ensiferum's Iron some of the greatest heavy metal albums ever recorded along with Rust in Peace, Painkiller and all the other classics. Because of how much I love Wintersun's debut album, Time is the album I'm anticipating the most even if it's taking so damn long to come out now. Ah well, at least Ensiferum's new album is to be released next month.

Think i joined this place agggges back, but even if I haven't you guys will appreciate this anyway.

I just bought a load of frozen food from Napalm Death's old Drum tech.

He has their numbers, is still friends with the band, on his phone and said if I email him he might be able to set me up with some tickets to gigs and the like and possibly meet the band.

Checked out in prep for Bloodstock:
Kreator - Pleasure to Kill
Kreator - Enemy of God
Equilibrium - Sagas

Pleasure to Kill was amazing.
Enemy of God was slightly less amazing, although the title track and Impossible Brutality are better than the songs on Pleasure to Kill (though that may be due to familiarty as they were the songs I enjoyed when I first gave Kreator a listen a few years ago).

Sagas is shit and Folk Metal has to stop.
It sounds like the soundtrack to gay Braveheart.

Thankfully its just finished and I can now purge the horror from my body with a bit of Ultravox.

Ultravox - Vienna (Vienna)

Skyforger, too I suppose. They're not great but at least they're actually a Folk band as opposed to rape by jigging of the genre.

I just started listening to Vader, and I have to admit I'm very impressed. The cores are awesome and the vocals are sick too. Don't know how popular they are, but here's a link on one of my favorite songs by them.

Also listened to Dying Fetus yesterday and they were very good as well (the name is hilarious, fuck you).

Vader is one of those no holds barred bands that kick you in the shin and splooge in your eye as you lie squirming in the dirt.

Oh yeah, metal imagery.

Dying Fetus is also good, but can't touch Vader.

I'll just stick to the Megadave crowd then, anybody who's wearing a Megadave shirt can be my new best friend aka shield.

It's not folk metal. I love folk metal. But I listened to one song by Korpiklaani and that's where I stopped. It's so over the top it's ridiculous.
