RusselI Allen is a good vocalist and Symphony X is good stuff, but I'm not into Allen/Lande.

So what? It's his band, he can do what he likes. Dave has always been the driving force of Megadeth. Dave is Megadeth, it's essentially his solo project now and there is nothing wrong with that.

No one gives Chuck Schuldiner any shit but Death never had the same line up twice.

You do have a point there. But there are still a few musicians who really did influence the path Megadeth took. I really think Nick Menza and Marty Friedman did have an influence on the music recorded by Megadeth. Chris Poland also really did influence their music. Don't just take my words for it, a lot of people consider that the best records of Megadeth are Rust In Peace, Countdown To Extinction and Youthanasia. Another record that was quite popular is Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?. Recorded with Chris Poland. Mustaine really is the leader of the band, and it's his band. But these two records are soooo different from each other, and still they both fucking kick ass... Imo... the other guys did influence the results.

And Mustaine really is a fucking selfish asshole.

Just got myself some Om, and I have to say, this is an amazing band. I'd been looking for them for a while and found nothing, but now I'm angry at myself for not looking harder. Really cool stuff.

On an un-metal related note, Blackfilm is really neat. Definitely check them out if you're into Ulver's "Perdition City"

Indeed. Ideally I'd have all the Rust in Peace lineup back because I love that album and I while I don't expect they'd ever come near that standard again, I could see them live with that line up. It would be bliss :D.

And Mustaine really is a fucking selfish asshole.

I like the guy, so I can't say anything about this. If the guy is a bit of dick then good for him, arrogance can get you far.

Just look at Kirk Hammett, if he had any balls he'd have left Metallica years ago.

Apparently Varg was released today too.

Hahaha, that's a good call :P
But I don't think that Mustaine would have accepted anytime in his life to share the fame and glory. He and Hedfield were always fighting to be the one in the middle of the stage, to be the one everyone would be looking at. I don't think any of these two guys could stay in a band with another guitarist that would be very charismatic and have a strong personnality. They just can't stand to share the stage with guys like these.

So who are their guitarists now? Metallica has Kirk Hammett... the guy with no balls...
and Megadeth got a Canadian dude that won't even take the fucking mic to say something to the public during a show in Montreal... I mean... this is people from your country and you won't even say a fucking word to the public... that's lame...
Oh no... sorry... this guy is not in the band anymore... he's been replaced by a new guitarist...

Dave wants Metallica's fame and success. If he was in the band he'd either of left or Metallica wouldn't of turned out as lame as they have.

I can't believe you can be such a geat successful artist and still whine and cry about the fact that your not selling enough millions of albums to beat another band commercially.

It's just like if Mustaine cannot understand the meaning of being succesful...
What is the link he is doing in his head?
More fans = More talent?
More albums sold = better band?

No way son.

My 3 was lenient enough.

Your vox reminded me of that dude from the beginning of Number of the Beast though, I think that was the best thing XD

Overall, two mediocre riffs that wore out after a while, and a very unfitting distortion guitar line at the end.

But coolness was still there. Keep it up.

Wrong, I hate Cannibal Corpse because they just plain suck. I was referring to Mustaine (notice the his?) and you decide to fabricate what I've said. I don't mind Megadeth, but they're overrated as fuck. Mustaine's vocals suck and so did any drummer who wasn't named Nick Menza.

Does anyone else think Diablo is pretty much the coolest fucking PC game ever? Just wiped my computer out, DELETED FUCKING EVERYTHING, and decided to start playing Diablo II again as I haven't for a long time. It's metal as fuck.

Metal.

Oh yeah, digging through old shit and came across an old Terrorizer magazine. I saw an article on a band called Abgott. Apparently, Italian avant-garde jazz black metal. I will check this out.

Sorry, but Mustaine never intended to be the vocalist. He just took up the position because he couldn't find anyone else. Hold your nose and you'll sound just like him.

The other drummers were incapable of producing anything more than basic drum rhythms. Ever notice Mustaine turned down the drums' volume when he remastered Megadeth's albums?

Dude.
Megadeth isn't overrated at all compared to fuckin' Metallica, Lars Ulrich, is without a doubt the worst drummer in all of metal. All he does for the band is act as a fucking metronome, Every song.
And I like Dave's vocals, they have a memorable sound, and he doesn't sing out of tune, and he oesn't go all YEAHUH like Hetfield.

(hahaha I don't even fucking like Metallica, I love Megadeth though)
