I'm not fond of re-releases and remastering older material. I got Burnt Offerings remastered and without the oldschool production it sounds just too clean. I can't imagine certain albums remastered... take Abigail for example. That 80's style production lends a lot to the music in my opinion. I could understand Blind Guardian remastering Nightfall and Imaginations but their earlier stuff ... they should just leave that alone.

Its Metal related cause its Metal. The album is full of lullaby-esque toy sounds, weird Patton shrieks and Metal riffs.

Just got Forest of Shadows, really good one man band, his clean vocals are really odd and deep, but I love the piano and his death growl. Really beautiful and eerie compositions.

My only gripes with Machine Head are that little Nu Metal phase they went through, and that Rob Flynn uses way, way, way too many effects.

Machine Head are so out there and rad. They do their own thing and innovated so many things. I suck cocks.

You know, I've never listened to their nu metal albums. Since I knew Machine Head, I've always heard how bad the nu metal albums are and haven't even thought of getting them once. I guess I'm really lucky to have avoided those albums all this time.
