Hey guys, I wrote this out as a script for the voice acting competition, but my friend decided he wanted his equipment back which really put a kink into the plan. So I thought I would just post the script here. This was a rough draft with probably a great deal of errors and at this point I don't have much reason to work on this further. Any thoughts would be great and feel free to use this if you wish to do so, just credit me.

Richards: God its cold. This uniform wasn't made for any winter much less one in Belgium. At least its quiet. The nice thing about being in Bastogne it is a break in the fighting. The 28th finally gets a little break after fighting since July. But every rose has its thorn I guess. Its cold, as you would guess it would be in the middle of December and frequent patrols, like the one I'm on now. Luckily, its almost done, once we get past this farmhouse, we are about a minute from camp. It's a quaint little farmhouse, almost like the one the Tyler's had. Same shape, I even think the bricks are the same color somehow. The thing that is most like the tyler's barn is the small field nearby. After a big snowfall, Myself, my little brother, and pretty much every boy in the town would have a snowball fight in that field. (chuckle) I remember one time, Stevie Tyler ambushed us in one of the fights and took off running before I arrived, I grabbed a snowball, but he was too far. But I chucked the snowball as hard as I could anyway. It went up in an arc, way up to the sky and somehow found the target of Stevie. It hit him square in the back of the head from about 50 yards out. Oh Knute Rockne would have been impressed by the throw. I was the hero for the day,...Huh?

Sarge:Private? Private?

Richards:Yes sarge?

Sarge:Are you day dreaming again?, you are about 50 feet back from the rest of the patrol! I don't know about you but I want to get out of the cold as quickly as possible!

Richards: Sorry, sir.

Sarge: Don't worry about it Kid. It's been boring as of late, but listen up. Brass has been saying the the German's are on the move, a lot of activity going on near us. We need you and everybody else to be sharp. Its probably nothing but we have to be ready for whatever these Krauts are planning. See you back at HQ private! Stay Warm ! (footsteps)

Richards: The farmhouse is leaving view now and our HQ is just in sight. It really wasn't that long ago that snowball fight happened. I certainly does seem like it has. A war makes you grow up pretty quick, but, I still can't even get a drink at a bar back in the states. But man, what I wouldn't give for one more snowball fight, one more day to enjoy those days when everything was simple. When instead of mortars it was snowballs, instead of germans, it was my neighbors and friends, and Hitler was insignificant compared to the wrath I would face from my mother if I was late for dinner. ( Jeep noise)

PVT. Jones: Richards! Get your damn feet out of the snow and hop in, your going to freeze to death out here. They've got hot meals back at camp!

Richards:Oh I could use one of those,

PVT. Jones: Hop in and we can still get something. I have no clue what they're serving, all I know is that its hot and its good. Even you can get excited for a hot meal Richards? Just like home!

Richards: Nah, not quite like home.
