24 fps. If I'm essentially only tweening then I use 30.
For games I use 50 or 60 fps.

I usually use 24, sometimes 25 or 30. If it's for a game then I set the frame rate to 50 or 60 but animate with double frames so the framerate is essentially 25 or 30.

I use 20... I'm weird like that I guess. Its mainly because if I have to make frame corrections, I can do them manually instead of relying on spline or tween curves.

24. If I want it to be really smooth, I animate on ones. If is a normal move, by animating at twos it still looks good. And sometimes I can even animate at threes and get away with it :)

I've animated wirth 30 frames and it's too much work... And I've work with games, 60 is the way to go :)

Why is the framerate for games preferred to be so high?

Thanks in advance =)

Because the main code in most games will run every frame. Higher fps == more responsive (unless you lag out).

basically, since movements and things in games don't require animation, higher frame rates make it smoother without having to put in any more work. Then when you have to do the animating part, you just animate in two's or three's.

I thought it was because higher frame rates offer more opportunities per second to enter keyboard/mouse data which offers more precise control.

everything higher than 300.000, so that it would go backwards if the distance between you and the screen would be at least 1 meter .
