in world war 2 we save thier frog eat'in asses from the nazi's
not only did we save them we payed to help them rebuild their country after the warYou gave them loans, and made a huge profit.
I LIVE IN AMERICA AND I UNDERSTAND THAT MOST COUNTRIES DONT LIKE US!I wonder why...
Im Canadian, and I keep a close eye on the American/Canadian relations. I can give at least 50 reasons why Canadian people alone would be angry with the Americans. They treat their friendly nations without respect.....I cant even imagine how the enemy would feel.

What level of relations do you keep an eye on? U.S. Government-Canada relations, U.S. Citizens-Canada relations, or (in this case) American infant-rest of the world relations?

You are thinking too deeply on this and applying a literal filter to a stream of otherwise... well... not so standardized ... Fuck it, it's drivel. Plain and simple. In a weak attempt to draw understanding from an otherwise hostile audience, the original POV of the delivery switched from 1st person to 2nd person on the fly. Painful to accurately interpret, a bane to language police everywhere, and sufficiently confusing, such that I would expect a regular frequency of blank stares directed to the orator.
Anyway back to the bashing.. err counter argument
Dear sir, if this was an attempt to draw sympathy from an otherwise unwavering audience, perhaps your time would be better spent referring to the dictionary. Sympathy is located between shit and syphylis

Does anyone remember our only ally in the revolution.... ding ding you guessed right!!! france. So if they didnt help us we would be eating crumpets and if we didnt help them theyd speak german. Yes. America is in debt to the corrupt royalty, I understand. Didn't the French overthrow those bastards?

Yes, they did.
The point of the French aiding us in our revolution, however, has already been said. Also, they were not our only allies.
However, the French didn't help us out of benevolence; they did it because they, like always, were in a bit of a disagreement with England...
Now enough History. imdisturbed has stopped talking, so lets enjoy the peace.

It's fun to see that they are some people who dont suport that cunt. I'm from Quebec and some people hate us. Whats the reason for that hatred? I think its some kind of racism and a low level of intelligence / open minded.

I disagree. We hate them as much, if not more. For what reasons? You tell me.

Im 7/8th French, I find this thread very offensive. Just because its not a "racist" argument, it is distcriminating against a group of people, that is hatred. I want this thread locked, im sick of all going against the french, I take it personally.
Whenever someone makes a thread going against Blacks, or other races, it gets locked --- good deal.
But this is going against the french... and it hasn't been locked.
Im an incredibly easy going, humorous person. Yet dont find this as a joke. I ask you to please lock this thread.

Um, have you LOOKED at the statue of liberty? First of all, it looks like a man in drag. Second of all, it looks like it just smelled someone else's fart.
The French only gave it to us because they sure as hell didn't want it in their country.

I don't recall this topic being a joke. The person who started this thread, however, is debatable.
The intention to this thread is a racist one, no question to that. However, it has a place here because french-bashing is an issue as it pertains to the majority of conservative Americans. It's an issue because the American government encouraged it a year ago.
Instead of being offended and demanding this be locked, look beyond the bashing in this thread and start asking questions. People like Imdisturbed are still eating "freedom fries" and making sure to demonize France as if they were Saddam himself. This is socially accepted racism akin to attacking muslims and rednecks.
What is thought about selective racial processes where society dictates who can or cannot be racist against? Society dictates that it's cool to attack the french, therefore threads like this are ok.
Fair? Who wants fair? We all speak of wanting things fair, but never at the expensive of having our patroitic superiority dented. There seems to be a requirement that someone has to play the pawn of our oppressive lusts. "America is #1. We are your Gods that you must bow down to in thankfulness that we let you live and if you don't like it, then you'll feel our wrath. We'll show you why non-American lives have no value. Beneath worms you all are in this food chain of life. Now, sit down, shut up and suck our motherfucking red white and blue cocks." Either Ann Coulter or Sean Hannity said that or wanted to say that.
So, are you still sure you want this locked and pretend there's no issue or do you want to defend yourself?

i dunno bout that other guy, but im sure convinced, im french canadian, well my dad is from quebec, unfortulaently i don't speak french. but what the last guy said makes sence.
In stead of getting all offeended and storming out, try to augre your point in a civilazed manner. when people say stuff like that, it doesn't bother me. Im use to being a minority(my friends love to do french jokes, and im a avied calgary flames fan in a town thast mostly hard core canuck fans during the playoffs with the 2 teams pitted against each other.)
the recent backlash against french people seems to come from the government its self. It's becasue france was agianst going to war. I do agree that there deep finacial/military relationship with Iraq is suspicus. but at the same time, there have been countless wars through time fought in france. From the Romans, to the 100 years war, to the neploenonic wars, to the First and then Second World wars. france has seen so much war and devosation that it does not want anymore. ANd america seemed to brand them cowards for that. When amreica has had far less wars fought on its own soil, cirtenly not within the last 100 years..

Fun thing is, all those things Americans claim to fight for, like freedom, free speech, independence, blablabla, those we're all invented by French philosophers during the Renaissance. You guys are promoting French Ideas!!! Argh!! Stab yourself to death with a French... er, Freedom Frie!
Here's a list of things the French do better than the Americans:
-making wine
-making bread
-playing football (or soccer, for the morons in the audience)
-speaking french
-making movies
-painting
Feel free to add anything.

Recently, international awards have been given to more American wineries than every other country on Earth. However, it is recent; the French had the record long before us. Also, we have quite a few vineyards...
-making movies
French movies may appeal to Europeans, but Hollywood doesn't really care about them. American movies are made for Americans. You can't compare the two.
-speaking french
Well... uh... we speak American English better! So, HA!
-painting
How many American art museums have you been to? You're probably correct, but it doesn't matter to me as I care little for art....... he he
Now, to all, please READ the rest of this topic!! It is not what you would think, and it should NOT be locked! One arrogant juvenile decided to rant about the French. He was supported by no one, and we rational Americans put him down. It is very important (to me, at least) that you not pass judgment on an entire country based on the stupid words of our pre-teenage youth.
