When I first played it, it was impossible to do any community levels because there were like 50,000 people online at once. Now the servers are finally getting faster.

Anyway the level editor has so much stuff that it's just overwhelming! I can't even make a level now because I keep feeling the need to put in sackbots or logic and microchips. The only levels I'm proud of I made in LittleBigPlanet 1... If you want to check them out my ID is my username.

I was unaware you could do this with the graphics.

If they fix the physics a bit and center the camera (instead of following the character) this could be a veyr good remake.

Can someone tell me how to make a top down level camera? I've been a hardcore LBP veteran for 2 years and done all the tutorials in both games but they never covered the top down cameras in LBP 2. I've been experimenting but I'm not having much success.

I'm pretty sure they fiddled with zero gravity vehicles and a side mounted controllinator. Also, it is possible to rotate the camera for select segments of the level.

Theres no actual top down camera. It's just clever trickery to make it look like your looking at something top down.

My PSN is Caml7794! I've been learning how to use the new logic tools, kind of hard to get used to. I'll play with anyone as long as i'm not hardcore level designing.

Got the game on release last Friday, and completed the story in a few hours, that was pretty disappointing, I'm sure the first one was longer. But no worries, the community has already produced great levels and I'm producing my own in the brilliant new editor :D
And, gotta love the collectors edition box-

I just finished the story.

I smiled during the ending. What Stephen Fry said during it was really inspiring.

Wow, I managed to make a respawn system for sackbots and a piloting system. I made one that could double jump ('twas a pain in the ass), so I'm now working on a level for it.

The way the checkpoints work is that if a checkpoint senses that the bot is missing (Tags), and it is powered, then it will spawn a new one. The checkpoints are controlled by a selector, with the inputs being a sensor on each point, and the outputs being the power for the checkpoint. So when the checkpoint is reached, the selector picks the matching output and only powers that checkpoint.

It works beautifully.

I can get it to work for four players, but I can't find a way to make the cameras work out, so it will be one player only.

So has anyone seen how the LittleBigPlanet 1 community looks? Has it improved? Has it gotten faster/slower? Are the cool pages still filled with "FREE <fake object> AFTER 1,000,000 HEARTS" levels?

Well, I think it's now obsolete (and therefore deserted) given that you can access LBP1 content with LBP2, including the DLC. I suggest you ace every single non-community level that isn't survival in LBP1, collect everything in said levels, and upgrade to LBP2.

This is what LBP2 was made for.

I'm so lame at this game that I have no idea how to have a character lipsync to a song.

Also, holy shit, that was incredible!

I usually frequent the VG and collaboration Forums. If you find me anywhere else, I'm lost and can't find my way back.

I may be shit tier when it comes to level design, but I've quickly learned how to program a Sackbot to do things like shoot fire without the aid of a Creatinator, double jump, and even glide! If I can find someone who's good at making levels, we can really make a great team.

Am I allowed to advertise my level here? I made one not long ago and it is the best I have made so far, here is the lbp.me link so you can queue it if you want to play it. (Lbp.me is the best idea ever.)

Anyone who reads this gets a cookie. Im a PSWii60-er =D.
Also the post I wrote probably isn't relevant to the post at all and if it is, its probably the wrong answer.

There is no way to get past the update. And besides, you guys shouldn't have been going around giving out the special items anyway.

I've just finished making a new level, one where you get to fly around with a Sackbot. Check it out here. You've probably seen some like them on the cool levels page, but mine is different. In this one you fly using the power of motion control! No, you don't need to use a Playstation Move controller, you just need a regular Sixaxis controller. You ascend or descend by tilting the controller left or right. You can move in and out of layers by tilting forward or back. You'll die if you hit a wall, so be careful!.

Currently making a LBP level of The Yuyu. I have like twenty little sackbots as the Yuyu. I am recreating the timing and look of every shot in the flash.
