The surprise is that the results are according to how much fun one particular person had, not how good the games were in general. Otherwise things would have been different. Teams didn't know the point was to make a particular person have fun, they just tried to make an overall good game. Because of this, some were lucky. By the way, I got a map for Bearbound :)
Congratulations to the winners! I was hoping Mechanical Ice Apocalypse would have won first prize, though.

It's funny that it was never about who could make the best game. *All* about experimental gameplay mechanics..like I keep saying over and over.

hmm, if it doesnt, you should get some on the site you REALLY trust, and do something like, you buy it and have them send it to you, then you pay for them to ship it to you

5th place. Nice - definitely better than I expected at the outset of the Jam.
BearBound and the one created by MonoFlauta and RedHarvest should have been in the top (in my opinion.) But all of them were great, well done to everyone.

Bearbound was my favorite, took a bit of time to complete but it was a funny and creative game. Iceboy seemed like a cheap Mario ripoff tbh.

Like 4ue said, our team never expected that we would get first place. I still don't know what too use the money for. So many thing in the store. But even if we didn't suceed, we would have some pretty cool stuff anyway. But besides this, the game jam, in my opinion, has been a learning experience for me. I got to experiment with gradients, our good friend Shadowgamer had helped me with the art the whole way, and overall I had learned alot about gaming altogether. I barely knew anything about games before I entered the newgrounds world and became a member. But the best thing was I got too know some pretty cool people. The only other person I have got to know on Newgrounds is lukashafstrom and thats because we have met personally. So getting to work with some of the best animators, programmers, and musicians ever has really opened my eyes on what the game jam might really be about. getting to know the public. I hope to enter the Jams coming up, though I don't know if I can make the January Jam. So that I can meet some nice folks. Anyway, thankyou for your time. sorry for the long post. I ramble. XD
