The answer is because it feels good. This is more of a joke than a scientific fact, but the reason it feels good is because it's our purpose as a species to procreate. We humans became so smart that we learned how to do it without having to reproduce. This part I will say next is true: did you know that dolphins and bonobos (a certain species of chimpanzee) are the only animals besides humans that can have sex for pleasure? And they say it's a dumb thing.

Because our one biological purpose in life is to reproduce, so it wouldn't make sense if we viewed sex as something bad.
