A small development team has been working on a project for the past couple of years that is already into Beta. It's called "Goldeneye Source".
Of course, it's ran on the Valve's Source Engine, harnessing today's graphics with that glorious retro feel. While the graphics still might not be the same, the feel and style to it will make you feel right at home.
So, go ahead and check it out if you're interested. I promise that you'll enjoy it as I have.
Or I could just play splitscreen with my brothers and friends on our N64.
Seriously, that was the whole point of the game. Splitscreen.
Online deathmatches are not and will not ever be the same.

I get what you're saying. It's something meant to be enjoyed with and by friends...
And so we can yell and shout "SCREEN LOOKER!".
I really do adore and cherish those memories.
Saw this about 2 years ago, downloaded it and couldn't find a game with more than 3 people on. I think I will pass until it is fully released.

I was just playing today. There were nearly three full servers.
The problem is that the game is some-what obscure from the general public because this kind of thing isn't hyped.
When making a thread, avoid using the word fag. We have a policy going against the use of racist, homophobic and hateful language. You may not think you were being harmful by calling users "nostalgiafags" but Newgrounds isn't for the use of homophobic language.

Why is that so when so many people say more than just 'fag' without someone so much as noticing?
Real artists draw their own user picture and signature. I am not a real artist.

Not up for discussion, take it to another thread(if you dare) or PM the guy about it.

Yeah SCREEN LOOKING is bull when you're playing Goldeneye. However in Halo games it is necessary due to it's shitty radar and for christ's sake I hate Halo Reach and it's ability that makes your opponent invisible and fucks with the radar, that is just cheap.
Goldeneye on the N64 was probably the most over-rated game I've ever played. The characters looked blocky and stupid, and the controls were god-awful.
