So I have an upcoming science fair in my school, and I wanted to experiment with a relatively unexplored area of science. I've read about something called the pyramid effect, which basically is that the pyramid shape as odd effects on different objects. Such as preserving and enhancing the taste of fruits and vegetables, helping people relax, and (here's the weird one) sharpening razor blades. Do you think it's credible enough to actually test, or is it just an urban legend?

Just to be clear, it's the shape and not the actual pyramids themselves?

Sounds like depending on the results of your experiments, you're either a moron of a genius.
I say go for it

No, it just has to be the frame. I think it has something to do with free floating ions or something like that. Anyway, I don't want to start until I have an idea if it's gonna work or not, because the pyramid produces the best results with copper, which is expensive.

Well if you're looking for something simple to win the science fair with, demonstrate Bernoulli's principle with the Venturi effect.

Copper... Expensive?

Are you for real? Just get some copper wire for 2 bucks from your local hardware store.

I'm gonna need some copper rods. 2 foot scale of a pyramid to the same dimensions of the pyramid of giza=$35 of copper.

If you think $35 is expensive I can't wait until you get into the real world.

Yeah, pretty much. If I remember correctly, 2 out of 3 of the myths stated were busted, and 1 was plausible regarding the fruits. Not enough for a science project.

I've never heard of that before. Try doing some actual research on the internet instead of asking us?
