Bones

As you try to bend my thoughts
Break my will and isolate my hopes
Broken by the lack of faith
Jaded by shattered bones

I won't pull out the shards from my skin
I'll watch it all as the pain pours in
I'll take a sip from the poisoned cup
Say goodbye because I've had enough

As the body's cut down
The soul ruptured and the eyes gouged out
The symphony will play
A hymn of pain

Where everything's gone
The dreams, the hopes
There is no one
Welcome to your grave

The flames in my eyes illuminate
As my muscles tense & my mind grows numb
I can't move I'm frozen in pain
I begin to hate what I've become

A demon in the night, for light I search
Blackness behind and I have learned
To hold back anger, and put forth faith
Expel the darkness and shun the hate

But it's not as easy as it sounds
The weight of the world is crashing down
I've already drank from the poisoned cup
To late to change, I've had enough

The answer behind this mystery
Why I yearn for pain and rage

The damage caused, the story so vague
