Tattoo Question

I am going to hope that somebody online right now has a tattoo on their chest, and by that I mean right under the throat, above the nipples, sort of in the middle of the breast area but above... For those who don't understand...

How painful is that? I'm reading a few things online but wouldn't mind knowing from one of you guys.
I ask this because I am getting my tattoo today at 4:00 PM, it's 12:40 AM right now so I still have a bit of time to decide if I should get it there.

The guy working at the tattoo parlor said that it will be very painful for a first tattoo, but I'm pretty positive I want it there and only there... Any of you guys have experience with a tattoo there?

No but based on the closeness of the breastbone to the skin you're in for some OW, FUCK! time...

Mine's on the meaty part of my shoulderblade and even that was generally unpleasant. Hope it's worth it to ya.

Thanks man, I've been watching a few videos of dudes getting their chests tatted, seems like it hurts quite a bit... I think I'm still gonna go for it though, either that or my back under my neck area... Pain will probably be the same for both of em.

You'll definitely feel the pain. It all depends on where you're doing it and that area isn't exactly dull to sensation.

I actually just had a fairly large piece there finished a couple days ago. It hurts a bit at the start, but just make sure you eat a big meal beforehand and you'll be fine. The more work gets done on it, the better it feels. After a while I hardly even felt it. Just make sure that you're prepared for the lining. From my experience it is the worst part. Often times you hardly feel the larger needles. They just turn into a bit of an annoyance.

I've heard that tattoos are more painful the closer they are to bone... so unless you have a lot of meat on your chest you're probably in for a painful time.

It honestly was not as bad as I thought it would be... As Zerok said there were a few OH FUCK moments, but I expected much worse. The artist and owner of the shop said he was hesitant on even doing it there because of how painful it would be, he himself doesn't have one there... It worked out though, and he said he was impressed by how I took it, haha.
