My favorite type of music style is the different varients for electronic and a lot of stuff from the 80s but My tastes are sort of scattered about in every area that I even listen to music that is way over the time I was born.

I guess I'll organize by genre:

I'm a big fan of folk-rock. My favorite singer would be Bob Dylan and band Simon & Garfunkel.

The only rap/hip-hop I listen to is the old stuff. I really like Warren G and the early Beastie Boys.

I used to like country and when I did I liked Toby Keith and Dixie Chicks, not a big fan of them now.

It's harder than it looks.

I enjoy an eclectic style of music. Has anyone here ever heard of Galt Aureus? They're beast.

I like hip-hop.

I couldn't pick any to be honest, I'm a bit of a musical whore I listen to anything that sounds good in me ear holes, if I skim through my ipod I've got drum&bass, jazz, japanese digital hardcore, rock, indie, dubstep, reggea, metal, world.. literally anything. I don't think you should limit yourself to just one genre, there's so much good music out there you shouldn't restrict yourself.

Hmm, symphonic metal I suppose. Or any weird fusion of metal. Rammstein's alright, I like Equilibrium, Apocalyptica, Dimmu Borgir, Blind Guardian, etc.

Classic ol' 80's metal from Maiden to Slayer. So many unknown thrash metal bands in the 80's too (or more lesser known bands than Metallics and Megadeth etc., e.g. Testament, Exodus, Sodom). Also love the good late 60's to 70's rock/metal like Sabbath, Jimi Hendrix, Judas Priest, and Led Zeppelin.

Then there's always the 90's bands like Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, and Pantera. So many bands though that I like mostly from metal/rock genres.

Thrash Metal is my favorite genre though hands down.

I like most types of metal, such as Industrial, Black, Death, and some Thrash. I just don't like any of that metalcore bullshit from scene kids and hipsters. But other than most types of metal, I like grunge, video game soundtracks, and some rap.

My favorite band is also Rammstein.

I just tend to forgo genres and listen to whatever isn't generic and / or emotionless, as should everyone.

Although Trip-Hop, Classic Rock and Drill n' Bass remain in the god-tier slots of my musical echeladder.
