That's the best choice now, i think. It's better to work for a long time and make an amazing job.

Laura's work was amazing, but ti still missed something, it felt empty with only some things and characters and that pic as background. Otherwise that was really good :D

Thx for your critique, I'm sure she appreciates it. Its not full done btw but yeah yours is looking like its nicely coming along, especially the colors. We're in it for the long haul with this collab, I am happy to say.

No rush really I will unpospone the collab probably after May. By then I should have my schedule cleared and give this collab the time it is worth. ;)

Wow, this really just inspired me to re focus on this collab. c: The reviews on you tube really seemed to enjoy it! I also had a great time watching this several times instead of studying for my final exam. XD Great use of the music too, everything fit your style perfectly.

I can't wait to see it on NG, I'm sure it would be really well recieved! But I would still love it just as much if it was in this collab as well, but that will totally be up to you ;) either way, this has really inspired me to put forth an effort and start PM'ing animators to make this collab really fun. :)

So in other words, this collab is back up and running, I will start getting back in touch with everyone, so check your mail boxes ;)

Yes we are still holding auditions for fellow animators, basically if your flash is of good enough quality then you are in. :) As for the due date, it is undecided, but will be unanimous for the people in the collab. Let me know if you have any more questions :)

Good luck with that sprite collab mang! its all good, I've been in the silence for quite a bit too on my own collab, but not any more! This collab is my number one priority right now, F college haha

Hey all, I've decided to toss my hat into this ring. I didn't know how great Pikmin was until I played it for myself, and I think a Pikmin collab is a fine way of giving back to those developers who showed us an adventure like nothing we'd experienced before.

Right now I need to decide on an idea for a skit. The most doable piece in my head right now is a joke about how the pikmin attack. In the games, whenever you have your pikmin break down a wall, or attack an enemy, they do it by constantly bashing their head into the object. My plan for this joke would be a red pikmin stopping his unintelligent friend (another red Pikmin, perhaps named Steve) from bashing his head into a breakable wall. When he stops, the viewer would get a look at Steve's face with a bleeding face and ruined eyesight. Around this point, Olimar's ship crash lands in the background, and the scene fades to black with white text "the next day..." and it shows Olimar ordering about ten reds to bash their head into the same wall to break it down. It's a very simple and short piece that I'm looking for ways to improve on before any real animation begins.

My second idea would be a much longer and heartwrenching animation showing how sad it is to watch a Pikmin get left behind at the end of the day. It would mostly show Olimar abusing Pikmin in a number of ways for his own gain. But anybody could make a skit on Pikmin being abused. So I'd want this to be unique and almost make the viewer want to tear up when a lone pikmin gets left behind. I'd have to write an actual script for this, despite my plans to not use voice acting unless it really enhances an animation. Pikmin still have their muffled chatter that can support dialogue via subtitles.

Hahaha that idea was pretty funny man, The red pikmin is like "Steve, bro, why would you abuse yourself in such demeaning and masochistic way? Don't you have any concept self respect?" (then punchline) haha I also thought the idea of using subtitles instead of voice actors might add nicely to the Pikmin aesthetic.

Yeah I agree, its easy to just have the expected pikmin flash where Olimar is just abusing his powers. I'd really like to see how focusing on the Pikmin's character to tell a sad story, like being left behind. Maybe the left behind pikmin have to band together? Maybe they were each left behind for a reason and have their own creative stories? Maybe they survive an over night ordeal and get to tell Olimar what they really think? I think focusing on character is really what we are looking for in this collab.

Quick question: We can use music from the games, right? I downloaded the soundtracks recently, and I can think of plenty of uses for certain tracks.

Ha I should have read this before I sent my message, but yeah! I encourage using music from the game over any other music. It was one of the reasons the game was so good. It will beef up our aesthetic. I'm not opposed to using music that isn't in the game, however, any music that is fitting is good. If anyone needs a certain song from the game, they should contact me or Gustavos :)

That's crazy dude, a few things crashed in my part too. Good to hear about your sketches though

Alpha-Nuva is interested in doing a script featuring Poliwogs, and JKAmovies has offered some artist support if he gets the time. Also I have mentioned to Sabtastic that we will be needing a nice menu so if anyone thinks that is a good idea let me know. Also Legendary Frog has a script and I have been wanting to find any animators interested in animating it. RicePirate may also be doing a part on his free time, so we might have that to look forward too :)

Hopefully this is getting back on track a bit, we are still looking for animators so tell your friends too :P

I thought it was really cute! I take it that's the "song of love" in spanish? I could be wrong.. It would be great if you could throw on some subtitles for english speaking viewers maybe? I like how this adds diversity to the collab. Nice work so far man, can't wait to see the finished product :) be sure to give me the song info so I can put it in the credits

I have to be honest dude, This doesn't really fit the collab. I meant to say that earlier, but I was having spotty service and didn't finish, but yeah its just the song and aspects of the animation are a bit too much on the corney side. Also I don't think it fits the Pikmin vibe if I was being honest
