Also in light of quarl's joking outburst in the new NAC thread, any breaking of the rules WILL result in your disqualification.

that goes for dubstep renditions in ANY NAC. You're all perfectly capable of doing other genres, if you wanna have a dubstep contest, make one yourself ;)

the same goes for any other retarded genres that only serve to further corrode the music world. melody over noise.

dnb is ok though. Dubstep actualyl put it into a favourable light.

if you're not joking you should stop doing the official contests

perhaps.. I suppose I cannot prevent peopel from doing dubstep remixes - however consider the fact that we are judging based on an overall oldschool theme for this NAC thus doing a dubstep mix probably tre you high points.

*won't score you high points.. ugh what is wrong with this keyboard..

maybe we'll have a dubstep one in future. However i'd prefer that to be a secondary NAC and not a main one.

also as a result If you arent over 20 you cannot be a judge for this contest - due to the natore uf the contest we need people who are actualyl old enough to have been immersed in the oldschool gaming world. This may prove difficult though as I am sure those people mightthemselves want to enter. Still, I'm sure we'll find peeps. I got some connections in the vg portal.

also concerning fatkidwithajetpack's question, ambiant might not be your best route.

the entire purpose here is to be ENERGY fileld - your song has to get you pumping.. thing like.. oldschool sogns, how they were just action packed, think old paragonx9 sogns, stuff liek that. oldschoolm tons of energy, as you pew pew pew millions of enemies

Alright sweet, im going to mix together an ambient soundscape that ressembles 8-bitish space and then mix in a nice, 8-bit retro melody. Awesome.
