This year was very good in my opinion.. I got 19 flashes out this year which is twice as much as in 2009 or 2008 combined. I am proud. I got to work on a bunch of games this year, and only finished 2. Go teams!!!!

I also got to work with TGF2 and that was pretty cool. I've been so busy I never got to buy the full version on sale, but I'll get that eventually.

I'm glad I chose to be an icon and genre mod. I love watching old flashes and new ones, and see how progressively better most of my favorite artists have gotten and how much talent people have. I overall find it pretty fun.

As far as community things.. More organized game jams for different Newgrounds holidays would be cool. Maybe more staff run collabs would be good, too.

my personal resolutions are to work more on games and general art projects in the art forum. That's basically it.

I think we should have a year collab.

Like the 08's have one section of the flash and 05's have another section of the flash.

I think this year did a really good job in proving that working with teams for collabs or games can prove very rewarding, not only in constructive criticism from those that do want you to improve in a positive view, but also establishing good friendships with those that you do happen to work with.

The collaborations were a favorite of mine, with RedHarvest being a good organizer. I hope to see more connection with the sites resources and artists this next year. Other than that, this year was really good.

Happy New Years everyone!

In terms of pushing collaboration, I think the game jams have been incredible in getting people together who wouldn't otherwise work with one another. For a lot of people, not only does it help them get stuff out there, but its one of the few times they may actually interact with other NG members. Getting involved is something that can be done in many ways on NG, from actual submission and reviewing to posting in the forums, but really getting involved with people seems challenging sometimes. By getting involved I mean connecting to make games and get in collabs, but usually it seems the people in them are always the same or always work together. I like how the jam is getting new faces in the mix and helping them meet people.

Essentially, I want more game jams :] Maybe with different restrictions and teams to mix it up, such as different time limits or different team criteria. Also with game jams, maybe something for animations too.

It's crazy how fast things get out of hand when you're making a flash game. I have a few flash games that have been in the works for months now because I keep adding on to them. I only got a few sub-par games out this year, so hopefully 2011 will be a lot better.

Oh yeah and I can't wait for the redesign.

Congrats on everything, and I am not really one for resolutions, but as far as my work goes, I have moved on from my sprite series and am now able to finally work on my 100% original work. I am very excited, I've already typed up info and bio's on over 20 characters I'm making from years of ona nd off again with them, and just a few more left to go before I've made all the ones I want, then I will draw them as reference sheets and get started on my animated series Retrograde. I will be the animator and writer, I will need an audio artist capable of musical and sound effect composition, I also want to form a online 2 person band with songs I've written and team up with an audio composer who is interested, and I have numerous fans now who are supportive of my new choice with my original work and I'm really quite looking forward to it all. I'm also looking forward to a more collaborative NG. Though one thing I would like to see more of on here, is NG giving more attention to the art portal, auido portal, and give serious flash animations a little more attention as the site focuses mainly on games and comedic flashes. I love comedy, but there are plenty of great serious and horror story animators out there who could use the same attention and support.

Well, that's all, happy new year everyone.

I'd really like to see some new, larger, more complex collaborations between each individual "group" of the community (art, programming, audio) in the future. I'm also eagerly anticipating the redesign and will continue making icons and updating genre info until the day comes that those positions are no longer needed.

A personal resolution of mine is to find more time for game development out of my busy school schedule.

HAPPY NEW YEAR NEWGROUNDS!

Just reading the various contributions made by Newgrounds warms my heart, since it shows just how alive this site really is and that it's more than merely a place to see flash movies. Heck, donating thousands of dollars to help someone's dog? That there really gets to me guys, and I hope to be a part of other such selfless causes in the future.
Hopefully there will be more writing contests but otherwise there's no doubt that 2011 will be as good a year (very likely better) as 2010. Happy New Years Newgrounders!!

I like the idea of a good collaboration or team.

While collabs where everyone pitch in a part are great, I do want to see more in the way of teams.

What I mean is like an artist, a musician, and a writer. Or something like that.

Even maybe someone does the animation while another draws backgrounds.

Maybe there could be a way to say on our profile what we're proficient in and what we'd be willing to do, and if we'd even want to do it.

I think teams are great for getting quality work done more efficiently. I sadly dont do this myself, but it's something I'd like to work on.

My resolution is to animate more, as I hardly did anything this year. I feel like I ignored NG, though I didnt want to.

So yeah. Just throwing ideas out there.

I love Newgrounds and I hope to show myself more in 2011!

Also a big thanks to Tom as always for creating this wonderful community and resource.
