Well, i've gotten the BSOD 4 times already and my computer is the slowest it's ever been in years. (it gets really really slow for a few minutes occasionally, but most of the time it's normal.)
I've downloaded a registry error fixer 2 weeks ago, and it helps a bit. but the BSOD's stay.
I downloaded house call anti virus, and scanned twice, no viruses.
My laptop is a toshiba, but this one had a problem with dust collecting in the air vents, so I air dusted it. I think some of the liquid air got in there.

What does the BSOD screen says , the error message
Also if you think your computer is infected try:
http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam.php
or
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download /anti-virus/combofix

it's been a while, but I remember a part that says dumping files and it went 25/100, 50/100, 75/100, then 100/100 and says dumping complete.
And also, it says there was a problem and it closed before any serious damage was done.

Have you installed something recently like drivers or any new hardware?
You could try system restore if the problem appeared recently , the way to get to system restore it depends on the OS you're using.

Sorry for double post but i think this will help you:
http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/topic/435 19-windows-xp-blue-screen-of-death-stop-
codes/
That's a list with most of the BSOD error messages and they come with their reason and the solution to the problem.
Just try to find the one you're having on your computer.

Try using Avast anti virus. Here is the link I think it is only a trial though.
What the heck was that!?!

When I used to work in IT, I always used Spybot S&D to remove viruses (sorry if that sounded like a plug).
It's not an antivirus, but it does a very thorough scan and fixes all of the infected crap. There's also an option to immunize your browsers to patch up common security holes.

well see theres your problem, now the only think you can do is go to the lugnuts on the inside and make sure that the grease in not dirty or have any fluids on them..
they should be right under your memory chip set.. if not there then they will surely be under the small battery... but that might take some time to get to...
check the nuts and if they are clean then you can tell the people at the shop who will be cleaning your computer, and you can probably save your self well over 100 dollars in a analysis cost :D good luck mate
yep...

Do a Malwarebytes, Spybot, and Avast scan.

I'd recommend against registry cleaners when possible. They usually try to convince you that you need to purge the registry to make your computer run faster when the Windows Registry is only a small amount of data.
I downloaded house call anti virus, and scanned twice, no viruses.
Use one of the aforementioned anti-virus scanners and then get a full-time trusted, widely-used, 90%+ recommended anti-virus after the computer is fixed to avoid further problems. Not McAfee or Trend Micro. Be very careful with this step, there are over 9,000 different "rogue anti-virus" applications which will nearly brick your computer rather than protect it.

That could be your problem. Open it up yourself or get someone to help you who has worked with laptops before. Look for possible damage to the components.
Additional Tips:
- Remove any applications you don't want and/or don't know what they do.
- Restore a previous version of your drivers if you've recently gotten new ones.
- Get new versions of your drivers if you haven't.
- Meta(Windows)+R > cmd.exe > chkdsk, have it run at the next start up and then reboot

The simplest thing for you to do now is to delete System 32. That ought solve the problem.

You'd have to be entirely idiotic to get a virus in 2010.
