new drummer for A7X?

Not sure how to contact A7X especially at a time like this in their career, but whoever has connections please take this guy in consideration when the time comes for a new drummer:

Obviously he must be in some form of band, but he also obviously can play like a beast, and also has a taste for all of A7X. It's hard to replace a guy like Jimmy but if A7X wants to keep playing, they need a drummer. I hope they can get the best talented and best writer they can get, but for now I see this guy has a bright future in whatever he is able to do.

Call me crazy but I recall they got the former drummer from Dream Theater to replace him. This was months ago but I'm pretty sure I heard this news on the intertubes of America.

Yep and nope. Portnoy recorded for nightmere, and he left a couple weeks ago. A7X is currently "auditioning" drummers. They picked a good one but have not completely committed yet. They seemed to suggest they are welcome to considerations, but mainly from their close friends and family. Not sure if they are searching the web for drummers like this guy.

Also, this drummer on youtube happens to NOT be in a band. I don't get that!

I think they already have a new drummer in mind if I remember correctly, Portnoy also left Dream Theater but is not going to be A7X's permanent drummer.

I agree with this. Portney is a badass drummer though. I was surprised he went with A7X, but I wasn't aware he was only staying for a brief period of time.

Yea, I saw A7X a couple months ago when they played with Stone Sour, Halestorm and Disturbed. I must admit I'm not a huge fan of A7X...HOWEVER! They put on one epic show. The drummer from DT is absolutely amazing. I've never heard much of A7X's newer stuff since I don't really follow them that much, but they are indeed a talented bunch of guys. I have to give credit where it's due.

I don't think Portnoy was aware of that either. All the interviews he did he seemed to think he was staying in A7X. Then when they told him to fuck off he tried going back to DT, who also told him to fuck off.

Eh? I'm pretty sure he stated that he was only going on their nightmare debut tour, then he was going to leave.

Though I'm not sure what he'll do next, I hope he'll end up back in Dream Theater soon though, if that ever happens. He's a real talented guy.
