What games can I play?

On my new laptop? Im just bought it on ebay, mainly because my current one is outdated, so I was just wondering what kinds of games I could play on this? I plan on installing windows 7 home edition over the vista :)

My bad I should of mentioned Im waiting for the laptop to arrive, so I was just wondering what I could play on it.

you told us everything about it except what graphics card it had built in [if any], i.e. the most absolutely important thing for playing PC games

without [a decent] one the best you can do will be like Popcap-style small/casual games or indie games with little or no real 3D rendering

It uses a Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 4500M

Theres some info here about the laptop Im buying.

Its not really for gameing but if I can play some decent 3d games Il be happy :D

More than likely your card's an integrated one. You won't be able to play graphic-heavy games, but you'll still be able to play some good games. If anything the Source engine will work on it, so games like Half-Life and TF2 might work well. And Goldsrc games will definitely work on your system (the original Half-Life, Counter-Strike 1.6, etc.). Again as someone else posted we won't be sure until you tell us the graphics card. But there's still a wide variety of games available to you even if you have a crappy card (like me; mine's an Intel GMA X4500MHD, a balls-tastic card but still able to play some gems).

it's the kind of motherboard-integrated card that is used for keeping the general graphical features like windows aero and decent-quality video ticking over smoothly rather than pressuring by playing actual fully-rendered games

for a laptop with an acceptable capability in that you would need to spend $1,200+ usually, you are pretty fucked

Because games like Super Meat Boy, Audiosurf, Half-Life, Half-Life 2, StarCraft, Age of Empires, Portal, Monkey Island, GTA San Andreas, Counter-Strike 1.6 and Source, Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Medal of Honor Pacific Assault, Call of Duty 2, and Ghost Recon totally doesn't work on weaker integrated cards, amirite?

Umm yea so I already mentioned the graphics card that comes with it. But would I be able to at least play sims3 on it?
